Amongst the very first test mules. All with camo. Will never get into the stream of commerce, but, like most (if nor all) pre-production cars, destroyed.

If at least 133 cars have been here for ages...shouldn't a good number of the #1 people on the list (or on this forum) get these cars? Maybe that's why the information on "build status" is scarce. The cars might be here and sitting somewhere waiting for April 15. Some people say the demos are crushed, others say they are sold. So...

Never! You will have some folks drop out of your list. Production is said to be doubled, which will take a little time to ramp up, but you won't get a first year car with first year issues. You will probably get an LCI car possibly with more choices for options and colors. There seem to be quite a few vocal 1M owners that were glad they persevered.

This isn't about others opinions of what you should do. It's about what make you happy. I have a 135i that will do just fine until I get my M2, and it's gonna make me very happy.

Congrats, the pic is actually pretty good, really shows the fender flares. Its surprising that your car has such an early production date.I didn't know that some of the HEA cars were built that long ago.

Are you sure your M2 has the M Drivers Package?

That package raises the top speed from 250 km/h to 270 km/h and is only available in Germany.

BrutalTUNA's M2 features the M Driver's Package (option code 7ME). It was born that way on Dec 4, 2015. Top speed in his BMW documents should indicate "270 km/h" / "168 mph" instead of 250 km/h / 155 mph.

Normally the 'V-max delimited' factory preset is unlocked during the 1200 mi / 2000 km maintenance: BMW HQ provides the dealer with a code to electronically unlock the factory preset. I don't know if BMW also sends the code to dealers in the Canadian market. Anyways, the car features the option.

You are correct Artemis, I just looked up his VIN on the VIN Decorder and it does show the M2 as having the M Drivers Package.

The VIN Decorder for my M2 does not show the M Drivers Package in the options list.

It isn't an option that can be ordered on the M2 in Canada.

Thanks...!

Well, that's the VIN on my contract
...And, I live in Canada...!
I believe there is no M driver package in Canada...
M2 here come standard with all options
The only extras are:
-metallic paint for LBB, BS and MG
-DCT over MT
-smart telephony communication for multiple phones.

I think that legally, in Canada, the official dealers are not allowed to unlock the speed limiter. Doesn't mean you can't do it...
Maybe the car comes already unlocked, or they keep it on and they don't talk about it...
I'm sure the dealers have access to the key codes.

I thank you all..., for the warm welcomes.
I'll create a garage next week, with more, and nicer pics
And even do a small review, if time permits.

As commented in my previous post: take a look at your BMW car document - in principle it will indicate 270 km/h or 168 mph as top speed. If this happens to be the case, then ask your dealer to activate the M Driver's Package (option code 7ME) if this has not been done yet. Indeed, if the BMW car document indicates 270 km/h, then IMHO you can legitimately claim that it performs what is indicated (and thus your dealer getting the code from BMW to unlock the factory preset for a V-max delimit). Furthermore, this option is part of the car price.

I'll check for sure..!

It's a government law, so even if I win..., I would still be illegal.
In Canada, we can't sue anyone for anything

At CND 61K $base msrp, with max CND $5500 on options, I think I'll prefer spend the time behind the wheel..., and drive 20kmh slower...!
