Non HEA M2?

Has anyone gotten a non-HEA car at this point?

I'm confused why my dealer has only gotten their HEA car and no other allocations.

mine should be ending production either today or may have finished yesterday. I hope to have it by the first of June.

this seems weird to me but they didn't have one. mine is supposedly the first as I have had a deposit down for nearly two years. I have come to trust nothing they say though. I have a friend who is a mechanic there so I think I would know.

Did you upgrade to air-freight

Mine was done middle of April and that's about when it's due in. I'm west coast though.

Sorry

Congrats!! That wasn't an option at my stealership

I guess I don't have a specific arrival date but I was told 10 days production time, which was about 10-11 days ago and then I figured another 3-4 weeks to get to KC.

That timing seems about right - 2 weeks longer for your car. I'm east coast and my dad's wagon finished this week was told end of May / early June. That said I'm hopeful that they can expedite that.

if I would have known this is how it was going to play out, I would have picked up an HEA car weeks ago but my CA didn't communicate details very well.

That's not far off. Add in a week of sitting around between end of production and on water.

It stands for 'Handler-Erst-Ausstattung', which are the first production cars that are sent to the dealers for presentation purposes.

Not entirely true. Some dealers do get configurable allocations for their HEA. Other don't. Mine got configurable, for example.

oh really?? I didn't know that.

don't know if you saw my previous post but why would my dealer not get an HEA car, or is mine the HEA and I just got to configure it?

they aren't a small dealer but the car would be arriving rather late to be HEA..

Yeah it can be annoying. Was going to do something crazy on dad's wagon that would have taken the wait from 4 weeks to 4 months so decided to skip it. You between cars? Dealer should be able to help you out if so.

that is crazy and disappointing at the same time.

I have a 235 that I'm waiting to trade in so I'm good, just been waiting far too long for this car

In my case I bought a car that they could still change and it entered production within 48 hours. I actually wish it would have taken a week bc by then we could have sorted out the special stuff. Oh well. Good luck w the wait it will be here soon enough.

It's an HEA that you got to configure. To my knowledge, no dealer got a customer allocation that also did not get an HEA for MY16 (could be wrong of course). Your dealer may also just sell their HEA for every car and so it's business as usual for them and they don't make it a big deal... just another allocation.

It sure sounds like all of these deliveries so far could be HEA cars. Some configurable and some are not.

I have no idea.
