Nice work, you made that oversteer your B.

Missed the chicane no big deal - you had an easy out and cut across it exactly you should have done. No harm no foul - adjust as necessary and move on. BUT... you did it on your out lap it looks like... make sure you prime the tires and brakes before pushing. Don't George Russell it behind the pace car...

My track time has unfortunately been very limited the last few months but I was finally able to get out for a bit this week & was so excited I had to share Probably the slowest (and shortest) track footage in this thread but I don't care - the smile on my face was stupid big as this was the first time I have driven this car and we had a successful shakedown!

Yeah I was backed off on it but the car was a lot faster than the last time there so my normal braking markers weren’t sufficient lol

Fun times at summit point last Sunday. Two groups combined make lots of passing opportunities. We had some fast gt3, cup and an ex-imsa Porsche RSR car out…

Chris - the GPHero10 has a really good image stabilizer software built in and the camera is attached to my half cage using a short 8” arm. The panning is also a built in feature, though I think it should be panning in the apposition direction…

Quick snippet of the rolling start (I messed up lol) and the first two laps.

Actually.... I messed up everything this weekend from qualifying to my race pace, lines and brake zones... but thats fine!! Brought the car back safe and will go even harder next race!

Enjoy my first official race! TTs or track days cant compare! The excitement I got from this is crazy and I don't think I can ever leave motorsports. Even if I can no longer afford to race, ill be involved!

Hey GasBurn - I noticed at one point you were tapping your mirror, what does that mean? Is that a signal to another car of some sort?

Probably the most fun I've had on the track. Running with Johan Schwartz in a GT4 Cup on Pirelli slicks versus my 220tw tires. 5:18 was too hot with the throttle.

Good question; I am letting the car behind me know that I see that and that I’ll give them a pass as soon as I can.

Ooo thank you for that tip! I will try that next time, however, my windows may be too tinted for others to see.

After a lot of practicing in my suv on road, and last 5mins on track. Yesterday was my first day using only left foot to brake. Pace was way off but a lot of fun to work on something new.

So now question:
Bro, Do you left foot brake? How much benefit by doing that?

Absolutely left foot braking is worth it. Transition time when your fighting for fractions. More important for me is being able to have that much more control over the car. Having the left foot always ready if you need it during cornering is a big advantage. Also with practice have found I’m much smoother with the brake application with my left foot. Not physically bouncing between pedals allows me to keep my left foot in the exact same position and be just that much more consistent on the pedal. Wheel to wheel when close to other cars it’s very helpful to be able to transition that much quicker as well. Takes a bit of practice - I pretty much do it 100% of the time on the street now too - but like it’s worth working on.

Lots of time left in the car. Tons of work to do from turn 3-6, then some aero issues to work out for back stretch. I hit 157 but also lifted before the kink. Turn 12 car didn’t want to turn because of the mismatched aero which will be fixed by VIR.
