M5 and M6 has more power, size, and luxury compared to M4 GTS but M4 GTS costs significantly more than a base M5 or M6. I know M2 CS is not a CSL or a GTS but who knows if there is going to be an M2 CSL or GTS. M2 CS might even be a limited production car like M4 GTS. I definitely don't think M2 CS will cost less than $65K-70K. |

There's where i got that number. You think a CS will cost $2000 more then a fully option'd M2. It totally WILL be treated like a GTS/CSL. People can barley find regular M2's let alone one with new body work and an S55. This will be a super rare and expensive car. You're acting like it's going to be some M sport package or something minor. It's not looking that way at all. |

This guy is out here comparing a loaded M2 and checking every box available with something I stated as "Base." M2 CS will have options also bro. C'mon, this is BMW we're talking about. Don't compare a loaded M2 MSRP with a base CS MSRP. I'll say it again...think logically. Oh ya, and you clearly didn't fully read my post...I said +$995 D&H. So your number of $2k difference is still wrong. Using your logic it's $3k difference. PS: I love how you didn't leave it on Alpine White $0. |

Some greedy dealerships will mark them up a lot but the car itself should not be priced over the M4 unless it is technologically or radically different from a regular M2. |

What makes the GTS special is the fact that it has water/meth injection, half a roll cage, 5K paint job, Ceramic brakes, CF hood, racing seats etc. etc. That along with the fact that it is limited to 700 (some say 800) units worldwide is what is responsible for the price. The M2 CS is not expected to be all of the above and hence will not justify the pricing that you suggest. |

They move that money around to help slower turning cars move off the lot. I would bet it has more to do with this and less to do with expected ACV at lease end. There is no downside to them giving a lower residual on the higher demand cars. As far as the manufacturer is concerned they only sell it once. There is however large risk to having a residual that is too high; at lease end you walk away and they own it for x over market ACV. Low M2 residuals are paying for artificially high i3 residuals everywhere!

Good news but it'll most likely be:
A. Too expensive B. Hard to find C. A & B Maybe I will be able to pick up a CPO base M2 for a decent price though. Only time will tell.
