M2 CS vs. M4 ZCP Pricing
Don't know why a M2 CS should cost more than a M4 Competition Package.

That being said, the m2 cs is not getting a stock s55, it's going to be detuned a bit. so no i don't think it logical at all for the regular m2 to get an s55 to be...? what? detuned even more? doesn't make sense to me at all. Also, the CS wont crater the resale of the current m2 as the "regular" m2 will be sought after for the cheaper price point and the manual transmission option (as im sure the cs will be DCT only). Current m2 owners (who bought their cars for MSRP) will be fine and are not getting fucked over, contrary to popular believe. |

Very nice! Hopefully it won't be a limited production or anything like.

Yes. Frankly, I have no idea why someone would even think of that possibility. Have you not noticed how many years N54 had been in production before 1M got it, or the same for N55 and M2?

I agree a M2 at MSRP is still a killer deal assuming you can find one LOL. IF the regular M2 keeps the N5X engine the M2 CS will be so rare it wont matter. The M2 is so rare it almost might not exist lol Last edited by firestarter2; 11-29-2016 at 04:10 PM.. |

Way too many levels of M's in each platform. Need to go back to the old days and just stick to one M in their level. Its more special that way. Keep it up and there will be 10 different M levels in its class.

And that's exactly what i believe is going to happen. But like you said, only time will tell.

How will this effect production numbers of the M2? If the CS is build on the same production line you might think Standard M2 full year production totals will drop !

LOL.
I personally don't care, but aftermarket exhausts seem to be a Big Deal (tm) these days. Last gasp of "car douche mating call" before the nearly silent all-electric era arrives in full force.

M3 LCI is MY 2016 M4 GTS is MY 2016 - in calendar year 2016 M4 LCI is MY 2017 M2 LCI is MY2018, coming in calendar year 2017. M2 CS is MY2019, coming in calendar year 2018. M3 F80 End of production - 10/18 M2 GTS is MY 2020 ?? coming in 2019 ? abject speculation F82 M4 End of Production - 06/20 using this timeline...this gives BMW a boost with an M2 GTS type vehicle three years after the M4 GTS and just around the same time that the F82 M4 ends production...
