No it won't, simply because BMW would want to keep price about the same for the standard model.

This is again the model year vs calendar year confusion:
- M2 LCI is MY2018, coming in calendar year 2017.
- M2 CS is MY2019, coming in calendar year 2018.

Note that Europe operates on calendar years (most recent example: G30 5 series is listed as "5er (2016)" on bmw.de), and therefore a lot of news articles originating in Europe also use calendar years when talking about future cars. US readers need to pay attention to this and adjust +1 where necessary.

CS is a tough one = I want!!

Collecting my M2 this weekend. As a DD I think the current M2 will be just fine.

If I was able to own the M2 as a second car the CS would be the one I'd buy, even if it is M4-GTS money. I'd want it stripped out, no rear seats, no unnecessary tech, coilovers, ect. an S55 with plenty of room to tune. Oh and I want it Valencia Orange or Java Green

So it would be roughly 2 years before we can get into a CS. Do you know the general timeline when we would know more about body, aero and some more specifics. Trying to see if the body will get any major change (wider, lighter etc. etc.)

Sorry, but I find it hard to believe that someone who has actually driven the car could make this comment.

The current M2 is a great car and far more fun to drive than a M4. The announcement of a M2 CS does not make the base M2 any less fun to drive. This fun to drive aspect is at the core of what truly makes a M car, IMHO.

It's easy to get caught up in having the latest and greatest, but let's be realistic most forum posters never actually buy anything. The average user just wants to post and say that they would buy ______ if it weren't for ______ or ______.

There are people on this forum who honestly think we believe that they would have purchased a M2 if not for the mirrors.

yes indeed....

it's definitely nice to go to a car show and not see 4 others of your car in the same color.. if anything...

other 1M and M2 ownerz be like.. wow.. finally a BSM one so we can get a picture of them all together!
