How do I install the trunk mesh?

It came in a bag. With 6 male tips and I can't seem to find a female tip.

LOL sorry had to. I attach mine on the flooring of the truck. Not pics of my car, but something I found online. Mine has racing shoots and track pads tucked underneath :-)

Interesting. My trunk looks nothing like that. Mine is a hard plastic finish with no holes like that

Are you sure it's not the all weather trunk mat in there?

On a side note, I really liked this net on my M235i. It holds products & groceries nicely in place.

What do you think of those little hooks on the sides? I found them not very useful since they are not very high in the trunk (can't hang anything from them) and not much of a hook (hook itself not very deep).

The cubby on the right is useful, not sure why there is not a mirror image cubby on the left side?

Mike

My side cubby on the right has my jack and tire pump because the MPE electronics take up its initial location. Haven't tried the hooks

Had to read the manual to see how to install this, but now that it is installed how do I use it? Am I supposed to lift the net and put grocery bags underneath then net?

That's how I did it on my M235i. On bigger stuff, you have unhook one or two sides, stretch the net over it and re-attach. It was one of the little nice things about the car I liked. It keeps stuff from sliding around in the trunk.

I never use the hooks for anything, and not even sure what they were for. In the cubby on the right side I kept my tire inflation kit I bought from BMW. My M235i came with run-flats so I had no kit. I got one for my aftermarket wheel & tire setup.

The best way to use it is just have the four corner hooked in and that gives you more stretch to throw some loose stuff under the net. I do wish there were more options for securing stuff but I have made use out the net several times.

Combine the hooks with bungee cords, makes them a lot more usable.

Anyone use the net with a Weathertech trunk liner? I assume you'd need to cut holes in the liner.

This bothers me. Am I supposed to remove it in the winter?

I've just never installed my net and use the Weathertech truck liner. all the time I'm just curious if anyone has ever done it, but prefer to not cut any holes in the liner, but assume you'd have to.

I mean that liner has save me already when I spilled brake fluid in the trunk.
