Low Profile USB Key for Music (And Video I suppose)
I started looking for a small USB key to keep in the car with all of my music on. I tested if FLAC was supported, and it is (great!), so I need a large drive.
Very quickly I discovered the Sandisk Ultra Fit 128GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive for a crazy low price at Best Buy! I don't normally shop there to be honest, but at this price it was hard to refuse. Thought I'd post it out there in case anyone else is looking for a similar drive: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/sandisk...?skuId=9208221 Oh, and I think the 64GB is also on sale if you prefer.

I've just re-read my post and I can see it came off wrong. I didn't mean that Best Buy isn't a good place to buy electronics, it's just that there used to be a store about 5 mins walk from my house and it moved 4 miles away in a direction I rarely go. Their main competitor in my area, Fry's, is on my way home from work, and typically has a greater range of products that I'm interested in, so I go there usually.

I have two, one for each car. It is pretty quick so good at writing all those files to it. It gets hot when in the PC and you are writing loads of data, but in the car it remains cool.
Thoroughly recommend, and I paid much more than that last year. S |

Lexar also makes a low-profile drive. The activity LED on these is in the back of the housing and is fairly bright though, so you might not want to use it in the cupholder spot in a 2018 car.
Also, the way the car handles metadata is kind of terrible. It does not do well with "various artists" type albums, and ends up giving you an Artist list that is "polluted" due to the VA albums. It is incredibly irritating. At least, this was the behavior I had when I was using AAC files... Maybe it does better with FLAC?
