Yes sir. I still have it, it hasn't been in operation for at least 15 years. It's been sitting in a garage. I loved working on that car. They are so easy to work on. I needed a more solid reliable car for work and something just drew me into the e36 328i. It was a 4 doors, silver and just looked soooo good. A good friend of mine had a 325is and it was awesome riding in it, that's when I got hooked to BMW. Other than my daily beater my Prius C (I commute about 60 miles a day total) I've been glued to BMWs, even got the wife hooked.

Modern cars are a different story for me. I don't touch them at all, the engine bay is completely full unlike my old Mustang. I pop the hood on my old car and it appears barren, just the basics and you can immediately see everything. I pop the hood on my M2 and i'm like... dang... that's a lot of stuff.
I was actually thinking about restoring it... but man it'll need a new engine, new transmission, have to check the body for rust, will have to convert from drum brakes to disc brakes, add power steering etc. Might be cheaper to buy a classic than to fix it up. It was a nice cruiser though. |
