Talking M2 Saftey Car Revving (Video)

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Have a listen to the menacing sound of the BMW M2 Saftey car. Can only imagine the acoustic potential with aftermarket exhausts that are on the way in the near future!

You crack me up, man. I admire your enthusiasm (genuinely, no sarcasm). You are quite a good advocate for the M2.

Not trying to put the M3/4 down, it's my second favorite car on the market right now and I'd totally get an M3 if my deal fell through. I'm more impressed with the M2's sound than I am disappointed in the M3/4's.

Now, if only my car didn't have to sit in Port for another month.

I get it. I have an M4 and am first on the list for an M2. I need to see where it is in production, come to think of it.

STOP.

You are comparing a stock M Performance exhaust (F82) to a modified M Performance exhaust (F87).

And also yes, I get it you hate the M3 sound. I totally get it. You do not have to repeat yourself every day.

I don't hate the M3 sound first off.

Also, would this be a fair comparison then?

I guess BMW M is targeting the JDM scene? The M4 Safety Car sounds a lot better to me; much deeper growl. Understandable that the M2 is targeting the younger audience... but maybe a little too raspy?

Is this what people said when BMW created the motor/sound of the S54 ... ?

Hmm.

BMW engineers have however gone on record advising that they were attempting to create a unique exhaust note similar to the S54 for the M2..

From what I recall and to my knowledge, it is a straight pipe (no catalytic converter) with the M Performance axle back exhaust.

However, please do correct me if I'm wrong.
