Sport Display - Power/Torque?

How is power and torque calculated/measured in the sport display? I keep forgetting to ask for my car to be kept on after my dyno sessions, so the AWRON logs always get erased and i can never compare it to the dyno plot.

i can't get a clean 4th gear pull on public roads to see if they match either.

It's not actually measured, the display is just a visual gimmick controlled by throttle, revs and gear

Slightly OT -- Is there any way to disable (via coding) the sports display? So when you switch Modes, it doesn't switch the display?

you can tell it to not turn off in the iDrive settings? mine asks to turn it on when i switch modes, but doesn't automatically come up. i remember messing with that in the menu somewhere.

i think the awron meter uses the same CANBUS signal for hp/tq as the sport display.

as far as accuracy, i peaked 404whp/450wtq on a 5th gear run on the dyno, but awron displayed same max power, but 430ft lb on a 3rd gear run

Wait, really? I swear I looked through all the iDrives settings and couldn't find...any more specifics on where you found that toggle? I'll play around next time I'm in the car...

A few questions if you don't mind...Are you happy with the AWRON?? I am considering getting one, but have seen mixed reviews. Also, I don't have a Catless DP (have Fabspeed Sportcat) and I do have MPE, which already has the valve control button, so I assume I don't need the add on for flap control and Delete-R? Lastly, I've read that AWRON cannot be paired with JB4, but was curious if it would work with Dinan Stage 4 tune?

Appreciate any feedback you can provide.

yah I'm pretty happy with it. the only thing i wish i could do is customize the on screen data to exactly what i want. you can get the base meter with no options for your mods. i can't comment on if it works with dinan.
