Sounds like there's a lot more to gain for you in the corners in the M2, and it's just an HP battle against the GT3 RS right now.

It took me a handful of track days, but once you figure the car out and drive with DSC off, you'll find it's so easy to drive at the limit and bring it back if you go over the limit.

That's what makes it such a fun car, and one of the reasons I'm up there with much quicker cars--you can wring 100% out of the M2 without it biting you.

And, I'm sure those Conti's aren't helping!

Sounds fine to me. At Laguna Seca, a good driver in the GT3 RS is probably 1:37, and 1:44 for an M2. Easily a 6s difference.

VIR Full Course 2:12.05, MPSC2/PFC8 pads. Suspension set up was messed up the whole time and I found out right before the last session. My car has been set up full compression up front so it drove much better after I reset the compression all around. Full stiff -3.

Palmer - Whiskey Hill - 1:51.4
Tires: Michelin Sport Cup 2
Brake Pads: PFC 08 (Castrol fluid)
Otherwise completely stock
90 degree day

Was running consistent 1:51s when no traffic and leaving some margin for error in the braking zones and exits. Sub 1:50s is possible in a stock M2 I think with some more seat time at this course.

I really enjoy this beautiful track with tons of elevation change and blind late apexes. Unfortunately, my tires thought otherwise and cords started showing on the outside edge of left front (after only 4 track days, I think I need to adjust my driving style somehow). Interesting that it's the left front in a counter-clockwise track.

I think camber plates might do you some wonders

You'll have to school me on my WG track layouts. I thought the long course included the bus stop and boot? If so, you should be in F1 with that time in an M2.

I wish I was that fast. Copied over my previous post and forgot to update the track. Fixed.

For those who are considering Palmer, here's the vid from the last session. Lot's of elevation change - advertised as more than Laguna Seca - making it a real fun course.

My DCT ran low 1:35 at AMP ( slightly damp track)on RE71r, Camber Plates, MP Coil-overs. I think with slicks and a dry track it's good for 33s...bring on those GT3s!!!

WOW! Looks like a super fun course. Tons of elevation, and great scenery. And a real high concrete wall to keep you honest
Nice of you to pick up the hitchhiker, and your lines look great. Thanks for posting, always fun to see different tracks in "real life."

Very nice! Camber plates and rear toe bars are on order. Should have them before my next visit to AMP.

Here's a clip of one of my sessions at Auto Club Speedway. Only my second time on a track so i'm still learning. I've been drving in mdm for the most part. I might try my hand at DSC off next time out.

That looks like the roval config right? If so 2:05 is decently quick especially considering its your first few times! I know some people in track prepped E46's only pulling 2:01's on square RE71R's....

M2 should easily be capable of high-low 1:50's on some stickier tires.

Yup, roval config. I managed to run a 2:02.xx in my last session but I was too tired to bother with setting up the gopro

I was talking to my buddy and after reading a few of the comments here, I might have to try just going dull Dsc off. I could be 30-35mph coming out of a turn and the computer would be cutting power by what felt like half.

You have Euro MDM coded? Might be worth a try. I'll probably be tracking with Euro MDM for my first 1-2 track days in the car, then start driving with DSC off..

Don't want to go in the dirt yet on the M2.. I did it at 1500miles in my BRZ, that was fun.. went off bad at Phill Hill/Lost Hill at buttonwillow lol.

I don't have euro coded in. EAS is fairly close by so I might swing by to get it done. But I went sideways a few times in mdm and it seemed easy enough to recover!

US MDM is a joke.. compared to euro MDM. Lemme know if you need help coding it in, I have ISTA+ and ESYS setup =) I'll be at the meet too helping people code.
