sidewall scrub at the track

bone stock 21 M2C, noticed after my first track day that I had a bit of scrub on the sidewalls...I assume this is my sign to get a camber kit? or was it simply from too low of tire pressures (29c cold, 35c hot)

also, are these tires still safe to drive on with this wear? the car has about 4000miles, so tires are still in good shape

Yup, typical from not enough camber. The tires are perfectly safe to drive on.

I noticed on mine that the sides would get chewed up very quickly if trying to start with low pressure to get to the right hot pressure. I could feel the tires rolling over. I was able to avoid it by starting at 35 and airing down after a couple of laps. In between runs I'd fill the tires back up. Granted, mine like ~ 36psi - 37psi hot. I've got a set of camber plates inbound. Hoping that will allow a little lower starting temp.

Yeah stock camber on my M2 did that as well. Had to keep the front tires around 40-42psi hot to keep the wear line from getting off the tread block. Getting camber plates installed next week lol.

You can also try a couple more warm up laps before really pushing it

Are those Super Sport Star tires? If so, Michelin puts extra wear resistant compound on the outer shoulder compared to the off-the-shelf version. Likely for this reason. Those don’t look as chewed up as my PS4S shoulders look after 3 days on stock camber.

Its fine, happens on stock alignment. Also most tires that are over 200tw have a slightly softer sidewall so they tend to "roll" more.

Get some camber plates, a track alignment and 200tw tires once you finish these off. If you're a beginner those tires should last another event or two
