One more question, for $6k what's the life expectancy of the wrap and is there any warranty against tears, scratches not "magically" wiping off, discoloration etc..?

This is awesome! Exactly what I need, I love the color and need the protection. Already contacted our XPel dealer in Kuwait and he will check for me but doesn't have it in stock. Is it a generic wrap or cut outs? Also, can it ordered online?

Thanks,

Thank you. It's great to be a part of such a fun community and small world. If my food hadn't taken so long to pick up, I would've walked out to chat.

Yes, there is a warranty. This is taken directly from their site:

Quote:
XPEL warrants XPEL ULTIMATE Paint Protection Film to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for ten (10) years from the date of purchase. Covered defects include yellowing, staining, cracking, blistering, and delaminating. This warranty does not extend coverage to damage caused by normal wear and tear, road debris impact, accidents, collisions or intentional damage of any kind.

They use software to create templates. Of course, this process is probably 10x art than science in the application which means that every install really is custom. You can find all kinds of installation videos on youtube if you're interested to see how it's done. And I'm not sure about ordering online, sorry.

That looks great! I did the same thing with my '14 STI. Never had an issue with the film and not having to worry about the paint is fantastic. As is not having to deal with the care you must take with true frozen paint. I paid the same to have mine done as well. Only difference was that I had it done at their San Antonio facility. They had the car for two full weeks. When I get to my hotel tonight I'll throw a pic up.

Beautiful car! Hope to see you driving around the local area. Did you purchase it at another (outside of Austin) dealer?

Yes, I picked it up in Temple. Oddly enough, they got a car ahead of BMW of Austin. No idea how that happened!

I got an estimate this morning for full stealth wrap in Atlanta. $4150. I had major sticker shock. It might be worth the trip unless you live on the left coast.

It seems like the small Texas dealers further inland got their cars first ?

If that's XPEL I'd be very hesitant that price seems wayyyyyyy too low.

This looks great on LBB! It helps soften up some of the aggressive styling on the front fascia, which is a good thing.

I think specific market plays a part. Higher cost of living etc

My immediate thoughts! Somehow the stealth finish accentuates the lines in my mind, whereas the clearcoat finish blends and disturbs them with shadows and paint flop.

AMAZING looking M2. People can question the price and whether it's worth it but to each their own and as long as you're happy that's all that matters!
