Vanity Plates
Wondering if anyone has a vanity plate on their M2 (or any car, for that matter) that they'd like to share?
I saw a clever personal plate on a BMW I8... "HI8RED" I heard someone in California had the plate "NOPLATE"... whenever they got a ticket, the meter maid, where it asked "Plate number", would enter "NOPLATE"... so the owner would never get a ticket! Not sure if that's a true story or an urban legend, but I found it pretty funny! Also saw "PLANAHE"... which I thought was very funny! (Plan Ahead) Anyways, I always like seeing clever vanity plates, so I'm wondering if anyone cares to share theirs? Here's mine... I just don't have my M2 yet! Should get it in a couple of weeks... |

Back in '97 on my M3 my plate was "M-Tech" I still have the plates in the basement LOL. I got many questions about "Are you a medical technician?" My prior '94 325is was listed was having the "M-tech" suspension, so that is were I got it from.
My current vanity plate is what ever NY state issued me! And its that shitty mustard color. Mike

In California, we can choose from several types of license plates... the basic, free one is white with blue type, but you can also (for a fee) get the older, Black background with yellow type plates.
The black ones look much nicer on Black/Dark Gray color cars... we got the black plate for my wifes Black 528i, and I ordered the black plate for my Mineral Gray M2. It really does look so much nicer, esp. on darker cars! You can also order plates with photos (a Whales tail, the Rocky Mountains) in the background... We obviously have way too much time on our hands, here on the west coast! When my brother got his Audi TT, I suggested the plate "ILUVTTS"... but he passed on my suggestion! |

My friend got his M3 around the same time I got my M2 and I suggested he go with "XCUSM3" (excuse me)
I have yet to come up with anything witty enough for the M2, and truth be told, I don't need it to be easy to remember my plates with how fast I drive this car. And to break the #1 stereotype, I always use my indicator. |

I don't know when mine will come in but it's going to be
GB F87 Grey Bird F87. Cause I like RUFs and Wangan Midnight.

Had this on my vehicle for 14 years now.. If you're not a hip hop fan, you probably won't get it...
