This post made my day! Congratulation to you and your dad!

I drove a friend's M2 last weekend and overall was impressed. I am very seriously thinking of moving to the M2 competition as my next DD.

You and me both - the current version is very very good, so I can only imagine how awesome the Comp will be.

And thank you again to everyone.

Great story and congrats to your pops (and mom) for raising such a good person. Now forget this Audi talk-it would have ruined the whole story !

I was born and raised in Indy. Love the I65 to Indy sign with both of you driving. it's also nice that you avoided Dreyer and Reinbold. Ha !

And you spend some time in Lafayette as well IIRC. My mom and lady were behind us and snapped the pic - it was a great time for sure, and man does the M2 look good on the move.

You will get a kick out of this...I drove over to the local Audi dealership before all of this happened, where they had an RS3 - must have just gotten off the truck - and it looked really nice, in isolation. But I was able to get the F80 pretty close so I could look at them simultaneously, and at that point it was no contest. I am forced to admit that Audi really failed on the styling of that car, and that you (and others) were right - the M2 (or M3) is the better looking car.

And on the Dreyer front...we were even mentioning how bad of an experience that place has been to the whole family over the years. We have purchased multiple VWs and BMWs there, and there is no appreciation for a customer's business. I think they know they're the only game in town on the BMW front, and you get treated accordingly. But the last 5 family cars are brands they all carry - and we didn't buy one of them there (my F80, my dad's M2, my mom's GTI, my sister's X1, and my littler sister's Suby). We vote with our wallets when it comes to how we are treated...

I've never purchased from dreyer , just never got a good feeling from them other than they are happy to take your money and move on to the next customer. We have several dealers like that in Texas but fortunately enough to be able to avoid them. Heck I actually bought my last bmw in Oklahoma!

In the Indy area you have to go out of your way to avoid Dreyer. The Lafayette dealer in the past was Bill de Fouw, a glorified Chevy dealer with about 15 BMWs on the lot , but I would rather make an order and wait with them then buy that day from Dreyer. Same for Bob Rohrman. That's a heckuva statement that your family has purchased 5 vehicles elsewhere. Agree here as well. I vote with my heart , head and wallet.

My dad has been calling me and letting me listen to all the pretty sounds the M2 likes to make - it really is a little bulldog badass.

Make sure you let your son take it for a spin every so often!

You know, it's easy to be a decent kid when your parents have given up so much to make sure that you succeed. The truly amazing story here is that of my folks - they ARE the American dream.

Great story! Love the pay it back mentality.

So how do you/your dad like the M2 in comparison to the Z4M coupe? I sold my m coupe 2 years ago and haven't found anything that I like enough to replace it, but the M2 has been intriguing me lately...
