Best sounding V6's
Didn't Car & Driver just say the M2 was one of the worst sounding V6's... I MEAN 6-CYLINDERS. Well R&T says it's one of the best. I am astonished at how good the Camaro sounds. The Jag F-Type S and The Lotus Evora also sound "The business" as the video presenter said. The Merc C43 sounds the worst IMO.

I've never heard a V6 M2 (or seen) so I couldn't tell you.

Well, the M2 is an I6... Inline cylinders not V configuration.
IMHO, the M2 is probably one of the best sounding cars I've witnessed. The sound probably at least a quarter of the reason I bought one, certainly why I didn't choose an M3 or M4 even though they were cheaper. |

Its a very, very narrow V, the angle between the two banks approaches zero at normal operating temperatures.

Pretty sure on Road & Track you can find within the last few weeks the BMW M2 is one of the worst sounding sports cars today AND one of the best sounding six-cylinders... only on R&T folks!

Agreed. I have had mine for a year and I have found the sound lackluster. Needs a good exhaust bad and even the aftermarket there are very few what I would consider good sounding exhausts. Not the worst I have heard but not on tops.

If we talk 6 cylinder stock car:
Turbocharged, M2 is one of the best if not the best. Supercharged, Jaguars F Type is the undisputed winner. No one comes close. NA, there are too many to pick from. Personally I like the high revving H6 GT3 though I know I must be wrong.

The m2 with a resonator delete and exhaust sounds amazing, so guttural and menacing.
As far as 6's go, Im in love with the high revving Porsche gt3 series. Those last couple thousand rpm when it changes tone.

Talking about great sounding V6 engines, 6R4 and Stratos are two of my childhood favourite cars with atmospheric V6 engines. 6R4 has a 3.5 V6. Jaguar used this engine in their XJ220 but with two turbos on it.
