Y'all want to see a drunk man tell someone in a van to back into my M2 while his wife blocks the van from the front for no reason?
https://ring.com/share/6533765268728268796 Can't feel the scratch at all with finger or nail, 100% smooth. I think it indented and crushed the paint or clear coat but the PPF didn't take any damage, I don't know it's super fucking weird. Didn't get plate of the van. If I have my insurance pay for fixing this is it going to be an accident car? When outside I take care to park someplace it's very unlikely to have someone bump into me. In this case I assumed the van would have no reason to back up and could easily pull forward as no one could park in front of them... but I didn't account for someone parking in the crosswalk blocking the van and then a drunk person screaming at them to move the van. |

Sorry to see this akkando... If it makes you feel any better, I was at a park last Sunday when returning to my car, I watched as my 4 year old son crashed his scooter into my rear bumper!
The scratch he left, which was about 2 inches long, you could feel with your finger nail, and I don't have any PPF on the rear bumper. I spent about 2 hours with 3 different polishers (Flex, PC and a 3" pad on a cordless drill) trying to polish it out... constantly worried that I'd end up going through the clear coat. I got it polished now to the point where you have to a) be looking for it, and b) be in just the right angle of light to see it, and I'm stopping at that point. Ceramic coating back on and leaving it at that. Painting is asking for more trouble I think, because it will never be factory again. You could try removing the PPF, and then seeing how bad it is. It might be possible to polish out. It also might be a scratch in the PPF, which is possible. PPF is self healing for minor scratches, but not major ones, it goes white and not shiny any more. Best of luck whatever you decide!

Really? I don't think I kept mine, but I don't really notice much drone. Cars pretty quiet at cruising speed around 2k RPM. And I can always change the valve settings or switch to comfort mode... After all, if I'm cruising and trying to relax, there's no point to being in Sport+.
Just my opinion, the system is fully controllable from the cabin, so why not make use of that and turn down the volume at will when you're cruising on a long stretch or don't want to hear the sound anymore. |

Vinyl wrapped the rear reflectors
Used transparent dark grey color from fellers, it cost two dollars and took 30 minutes to do. It's not as flashy as the legit ones, but they look awesome and still reflect at night time!
