Problem is gone for me after having the dealer resetting something in the software. I tested it numerous things on the Autobahn and the car does not seem to go into limp mode anymore.

Dealer probably just cleared adaptation. There's no reason for bmw to update software for ur aftermarket part.

Didn't have the same luck. Took it to the dealer, he asked me to remove the JB4 and downpipe and then test the car.. Problem was gone. So he told me nothing he could do about it since the problem is probably the aftermarket parts. I asked him to reprogram it or update something, but no go. Shit.

As noted in an earlier post, this must be more of an issue for the model year 16 cars.

I have fabspeed sport cat DP, dinan resonator delete pipe, ER TIC and charge pipes, AA intercooler, Dinan CAI, and Dinan Sport tuner and never had limp mode after many continuous rompings, even in some pretty hot weather.

I just got this today on the way home. I was mostly in stop and go traffic with some high speed break-a-ways getting up there in speed in SPORT. The outside temp was about 87 deg and humid. I was at just below 1/4 tank and putting the pedal down in I think 4th when I got the warning. I backed off and went straight home (like 3 minutes away). I turned the car off and and right back on and the message was gone. I am running the FabSpeed DP and Dinan Resonator Delete, with a stock tune. I need to go to the dealer for my first oil change anyway. How should I approach this matter with them? Just tell them about the PUMA update?

Yup tell them to add the PUMA update to the list of things to do. If they ask why, just say "Please do it, there is a message in the computer that will explain it all".
