OP, i think its a cool mod for sure. Once you paint it, it will be totally badass.

But as far the non-painted version goes "isssa no from me dawg"

Not sure I saw this question yet...

Is it double sided carbon? So that the underside is also carbon?

If so, I would definitely paint it then but leave the underside exposed. I love those types of carbon hoods.

But like you said, I think you can "get away with it" exposed since the car is black. You really can't tell from a distance. I'm just never a fan of raw carbon hoods or trunks IMO.

I highly doubt it since it's Seibon...

You're looking at a couple grand for a full carbon hood. I was quoted $4200 (3599 Euros) for a full carbon GTS Style hood.

Looks terrible and cheap without paint. Fitment not ideal either might need to play with body adjusters.

Youre right bottom is just flat black. Sheet metal I believe...

VERY LITTLE Weight savings honestly.

Im very split, but i think i settled on partially paibting it...if you paibt the middle along the natural lines it would leave 2 narrowing carbon strips on the outer hood (whete it meets fenders) that flow perfectly from my cf wrapped bumper fangs to the cf m3 style mirrors... once I find acarbon lip I really like a side skirts I think the whole package will work....can always gully paint it if i choose

Love the way it looks, painted would look better and a painted CF hood like the M4 GTS looks the best.

Should be a fiberglass frame, typically FRP.

I agree with just about everyone here...Its not that i dont like cf hoods , its the fact the m2 hood stopped over the headlight so theres that weird awkward line...Thats y most of u dont really like it but cant tell y...

Fitment is good FOR Seibon...But a great body shop did the best they could after I installed it and its still a tad off...Only one person ( A serious car dude) has noticed in person...

I am glad my cars black so its not a total eyesore..

The Underside seems like sheet metal to me...Ill go take a pic now and post it...

As for y the hood flew up, its kinda complicated so bare w me...after an ex gfs dad concinced me to use his lifelong body guy (Precision Collision in Blue Point on Kennedy Ave) I strayed from my phenominal guy Frank (Silverstar in Farmingdale)...

This guy simply didnt have the skill or tools to repair this car...9 MONTHS after bringing it in, I get it back...30 fault codes mostly related to crash and safety systems, a massive boost leak...1 head light...the sloppiest welds Ive ever seen, and 1 rear wheel on the front (Told them they were staggard 50 times)...Oh and directional tires on backwwards...As I left I started noticing and I was so happy to have it back I said Ill fix thesethings hes never touching it again, and I did...

However bc his crappy alignment of the oem hood and unlike any car Ive seen the hood latch indicator being located in the latch itself, It always said hood open even when sealed...after 2 weeks I got used to this and one day when the hood wasnt really latched (on a date of course ) it came up...Have to laugh now but safe to say Im pissed...I also just found out he scammed me which ill describe in my mod journal...
