Can't feel torque!!

I just drove my M2 for the first time since picking it up, and for some reason I can't feel much torque at all!! Mind you I was easy on it but I was expecting more power from it at 3200 rpm since it has such a broad torque band. Could it be that a brand new M2 has a problem with its turbo? Has anyone else had a similar issue?

It reverts back to Comfort when you turn the car off. You have to manually put it back into Sport/Sport+ every time you start it.

I doubt anything is wrong, you need to do the 1200 mile break in first.

This is the usual problem. You need to be in Sport or Sport+.

That's normal if you're in Comfort. There is a huge difference in throttle response between Comfort, Sport and Sport+. Comfort is intentionally set low to allow uneventful driving with this powerful engine unless you give a lot of gas. Sport is better and Sport+ is amazing.

Felt little better in sport +. I think the drone from the ASD was also making it feel slower, when i rolled down the windows the drone was gone. I checked the torque and at about 3000rpm it was at about 200. Can anyone verify that sounds about right?

If you want to eliminate the ASD drone you can code it out with the bimmercode app:

http://bimmercodeapp.com/

or buy an ASD bypass harness:

https://technicpnp.com/product/asd-bypass-harness/

What are you looking at? The built in power meter?
That just moves up and down based on how much throttle you apply and what rpm's the car is at. It doesn't actually reflect any real data and you're not going to diagnose a problem using that.

If you don't have a check engine light then It's probably all in your head but If you're concerned there's something wrong with the car take it back to the dealer and have it checked out.

Thanks. I think it was all in my head. So does the torque display not really reflect actual torque?

If you're in the break-in period and not pushing it hard, you will not feel maximum torque. Take it easy and get to know your car, gently, for the first 1,200 miles.

Guys, you're all forgetting the obvious. He doesn't have the M2 competition, this is the Civic M2 with the N55 engine. This model doesn't actually come with much torque from the factory so this is totally within expectations.

Thought I recognized the sound of that VTEC engine under the hood being somewhat masked by the fake ASD smh :

While everything you said is technically correct , it doesn't add to the conversation. Let's build each other up not knock each other down.

I can't feel the torque in my M2
But I love it, but I love it.

'Cause 369 lb-ft at 1450 rpm is, like, you know, weak...

I think hes saying that because youre not supposed to surpass 5k rpms prior to 1200 mile run in service, he cant feel the torque, which I think is BS since peak torque comes on thousands of rpms below that level.
