coming back from the mtns today the M2 asked me if I needed a break
Yes I have seen two members install F8x seats front and rear. They are really hard to find and not cheap. the rears need to be modified slightly to fit. if I was to go orange/red I would need to do both but if I stay black I can prolly just do the fronts even though the leather is different and the stitching is off white. Prolly do whole set. You find rears all the time on e-bay because they do not have air bags that blow out the sides Mirrors, I just might give in and get the covers that they sell on IND..... they are growing on me even though I would have designed the wings differently |

I am annoyed at the power limitation of the N55 M2, so keep that in mind. I am down by probably an average of 150-200hp to most of my friends on track - the slowest cars are F80 M3s, and that goes all the way up to 1LE ZL1 and 800whp GTRs.
That being said, the competition doesn't interest me for the following reasons: 1. No increased tire clearances. The M2 fenders are a fucking joke. 275 up front? 295 out back (with custom wheels and less than 1mm clearance)? Come on! The 1LE ZL1 can fit wider tires up front than we can in rear. Disgraceful! 2. The seats on the competition are pathetic. No harness holes? I would have to rip them out on day 1 anyway. 3. Sounds like shit. Sorry - I love the S55 power and torque curve, hate the sound. 4. I already have AP Racing brakes, so the newer brakes do nothing for me. So basically, I am looking at the exact same car I currently have on track, with worse sound and higher power potential. If I have to replace brakes and seats anyway, I might as well just spend a few grand on a turbo upgrade and make 600whp and retain the good sound of the N55. Now, if I could fit 305 up front and 335 in the rear like the 1LE? I'd pay $70k for that all day long. |

I'm keeping my 17. I prefer my tuned N55 to the S55 as it will never sound as good. The only thing the comp has that I wish for is the seats and I could do that if I were motivated enough to find some from an F8X M3/4. Mine is also mineral gray which is the color they dropped with the comp so that might even be a plus at sell time. There's just not enough with the comp over my 17 that makes me wants to trade out.

Yes, the M3/M4 seats look cool, but your back and butt do not have eyes

I have my MY17 M2 for 16 months and I drive it everyday. I love my pre-LCI M2 in Mineral Grey very deeply (N55 engine, MG color, more pure looks). I'm glad I bought it back then...and I have zero intentions in selling it...ever
