Are m2 mperformance coilovers worth the 3g?
Im week 17 and making my list
i told dealer i wanted mperformance coils installed at port, for someone with the car and knowledge, is this worth the money to get done, not just for stance, but for ride quality , track etc?

I chose MP CO's because it was developed for the M2 and no warranty implications. I'm very happy with the ride height, improved driving dynamics and it's not harsh in my opinion.
I had my ride height adjusted and corner balanced from a reputable shop. You are not going to get this from BMW. If you are looking for an OEM setup, you're familiar with CO suspensions (specifically KW V3's) and you are looking for your car height to be lower but not tucked... you should definitely consider MP CO's. There are reviews in the forum you can sift through. If it ticks the boxes you are looking for, getting it port installed makes sense. You'd pay around 3K for a comparable non OEM setup. |

It's worth it. To begin with, you can find forum sponsors and others selling the package for under $2300. I tracked the car at Road Atlanta and Atlanta Motorsports Park on stock suspension ( GC plates added) then back to the same tracks after MP coilovers and corner balanced....much improved handling without compromising the ride. Make sure that whoever does the install also knows how to adjust ride height, rake and balance. The shop I use also recommended adjustable end links to unload the suspension when lowered to get a more accurate balance.

From what I've read, the coils are pretty much a rebranded KW, only that it's 2 way adjustable, not 3. I have yet to adjust the stiffness on mine (I think it's set to the softest). Mine is also lowered about 5mm all around. But for the peace of mind, it's a nice upgrade to do, and you don't have to worry about warranty being voided. If you don't care about warranty, then I would invest in a nice set of KW or Ohlins depending on your needs.
