MPE sales has stopped, new one is coming in Q1 2017

i drove from the UK to Nurburgring, then onto Poland and back. Not once did i have flaps closed. Sounds amazing.

Had the opportunity to go out in an M2 with the Performance Exhaust today, all i can say is amazing....was so much better than i thought it would be, i was more than happy with the stock exhaust until i heard this.

Asked the dealer about the stop delivery on the current PE, he wasn't aware of it but will look into it.

To my knowledge, the only m perf exhaust in collaboration with akra was the m5.

BMW used Akrapovic as the M Performance exhaust on the F10 M5.
Since then nothing has been done by Akrapovic but people still think so... Even sales people at dealers etc.

I have a M2 on order and have a production number but it's still being processed. I options the m Performance package which comes with the m Performance exhaust with carbon tips. Will this be old or new one? Or will it even be available. I'm not sure when my car will go into production. Thx!

I have the Akrapovic and a friend has the MPE. The MPE is louder (but not in a good way in my opinion). The Akrapovic is somewhere between closed and open valves of the MPE when it comes to sound. With the valves open the MPE is loud but sounds like a Volvo with straight pipes - so if that is your thing...

With that said, its hard to justify the price difference. 9 out 10 people would be more happy with the MPE if you look at the whole picture (sound, price, fit, finish, value).

If fitted with the Downpipe with cat it will be even louder for the akrapovic right?
Is it sound better too?

Me and my friends prefer the sound of the Akrapovic. But that is not the same as to say that it is worth the extra money for it just for the sound. Akrapovic with catted DP sounds even better but will be twice as much as MPE.

If money isn't an object I would go with Akrapovic. But if you want the best value the MPE is a no-brainer.

I placed a deposit/order for the MPe via BMW dealer in the UK back in Dec pre-Xmas.

They got back to me last week and said it won't be available until March 2017!

This is fantastic news. The only reason i didn't want an MPE is because of all the vibration issues at cold start i was seeing. embarrassing to see on a $60,000 car if you ask me. Maybe i'll actually get this revised version.

Wonder if the existing mpe owners can get theirs fixed under warranty?

Yeah I think it sounds better than Akra due to single pipe design. This and HJS Hi-flow 300 cell cat is going to be magic, I cannot wait

With the revised model coming in March all my concerns are gone, happy times!
