Missing Part..... Any M2 updates
I came across this post on the 2addicts forum today http://www.2addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1200964
My 16 M2 hasn't got these installed, what about anyone else? I test drove the M2 and thought it to be quite a quiet car but after purchasing and doing a long and spirited run this weekend I noticed I had to keep turning up the Volume when going fast and then lowering when slowing down. I had quite a lot of engine noise. Anyone else got these fitted to the M2?

You are aware of the fact there is an artificial(ASD)enginesound coming in through the speakers which can be switched off? That's what I did. Great mod. http://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1272747 Cheers Robin |

The insulation is not standard on the F87, but it is for other 2-Series models. My guess is it's most likely due to cost cutting and/or overall weight reduction as there's quite a bit of insulation on the 2-Series that was omitted on the M2.

Installed these last month in my car, its meant to cut down road noise as I've just got the car hard to tell.
Installation is easy, just used my fingers. Search the forum there are multiple references. MJ |

www.bmwpartsworldwide.com has the best price including shipping. Copied the part #'s from the 2addicts thread.

I used these:
Sealing side panel, left #51487300693 Sealing side panel right #51487300694 Lowered them in from above the lower door hinge, then slid them back up to the top hinge from below. Start pushing in with fingers from the top until the bottom, and you might need to cut a small amount away from the bottom. MJ |
