Forgeline by CompetitionMotorsport for BMW M2

CMS is in the process of building a couple track-day M2's! Of course our first call was to our friends at Forgeline, the manufacturer of the strongest and lightest wheels available. They created a set of custom forged open-lug GS1R wheels (same wheels used by many IMSA series teams) for us. We spec'd them in 19x9.5' front and 19x10.5" rear in translucent gold (similar to the MotoGP M2 pace car). They weigh 19.6lbs on the rear and 20.0lbs on the front (not a typo, even though rears are wider, a thicker front hub pad needed for the offset results in a heavier front wheel).

Of course since we are a Hoosier race tire dealer, we had to wrap the Forgeline GS1R wheels with Hoosier R7 tires. We selected 265/35/19 for the front and 295/30/19. Both should add a bunch of grip at the track. We're guessing the Hoosiers will allow us to pick up 3 seconds per lap on a 2.2mile track when compared to the oem street tires. Thats before we make any suspension setup changes to take full advantage of the massive grip offered by the Hoosier R7s.

We have lots more planned for both this car and our 2017 M2 PE so subscribe to the thread and follow along. Next up: Competition Motorsport rear seat delete and 4 point 4130 chromoly roll bar.

Stay tuned for more of our track-spec builds and real life track data as well as side-by-side comparisons with telemetry.

PS: Moderator - please have someone in the sponsorship department contact us. We have been trying for weeks to get setup as a sponsor but no one responds to our inquiries.
