Would prefer buying a stock resonator. Not sure how good the third party alternatives are. |

I went for a nice drive last night without any cars around. What a fun little car this is.
It was below freezing on this 59th day of February so I took it easy on cloverleafs One thing I noticed lately that I don't hear any exhaust pops or crackles with my MPE. I have kept the valves closed, not sure it makes a difference. I was in sport and sport plus. Any ideas? |

I made a mistake with my videos. Both vids the flaps are closed. I did a cold start with the flaps open and sounds fantastic. |

My impressions: It's seems almost quieter than the stock exhaust under normal driving. There is no farting, burble sounds. When you open it up it is present but not as prevalent like the stock setup. There is no drone, maybe reaching 3000 + in sixth just a hint but does the stock also have a hint of drone?
I can't imagine this thing without the resonator. It must be awesome but not for me. I'm glad I kept the resonator. But I have to say that the stock with the flap open is probably the best sounding to my ear. If I had to do it all again I would have kept the stock setup. It's easy to go back but I'm keeping this. Hope this helps some future in the market buyers but please, it's only my opinion. Every ones preference are different. GL guys. |

If I had to do it again I'd be totally happy with the stock exhaust too. And 3500 CAD richer. But I'm happy to keep the MPE and hopefully the resonator helps with the drone here as well. |

If you can't find a stock, I think there are some aftermarkets. |

I wish I had kept my stock resonator. I kept the stock muffler, just not the resonator.
Think maybe this might work in it's place? It's a Vibrant 3.5" ID race muffler. I had a hard time finding a resonator the same pipe size as OEM. And a brand new OEM resonator is way too much. The Vibrant is around $70. https://vibrantperformance.com/catal...13d0bd20a8c370 |

Still a little uncertain about resonator location MPE (spliced in) vs stock? Seems like resonator on stock is further toward the front of the car?

When I spoke to one of the engineers at vibrant here in Canada he said that position of the resonator affects the rpm range at which resonance is being reduced.
