But I do think the M2 will look awesome in all those colors.

While mineral gray is a nice color, I wish there was an M specific gray for this and the f8x.

As stated, donington would be great
Personally, I wouldn't want another grey car because I already have one, but if I had to pick between MG and DG, I'd go MG.

An M2 in MG would look probably the most menacing out of all 4 of those colors actually.

Firstly thanks for the info Dackelone great to have a fresh thread etc.

OK I've amended my post as initially it was a bit negative. Thanks for the poll. I voted LBB not because I want that colour but because I want an M specific colour that's not on M235i.

Please can we have M specific colours for at least 1/2, so if 4 colours, 2M and 2 'safe'?

I'd really wish for Sakir Orange this time around.

I doubt this will be the case as CF will not be used in many places. We have a heavier engine, bigger brakes, reinforced chassis and suspension, quad exhausts.

So far, I think the only CF bit that is pretty much confirmed is the crankshaft. If we get a CF roof that will help a bit, but I'd expect the M2 to weight more then M235i tbh

I hate to be 'that guy', but I can't help feeling a little underwhelmed; however I'm sure driving the car will be what makes this car special, not the color selection.

I'm not a big fan of the Long Beach Blue Metallic. I prefer Yas Marina Blue Metallic or a non-metallic blue that would be close in shade to the blue in the roundel symbol, like Santorini Blue, below:

A bit disappointing, i thought it will be at least 370-380hp and higher torque to look better compare to the 4wd rivals..

I thought there will be a orangy / yellowish bright color as SCOTT26 suggested... I hope this info is not final, although i appreciate some refreshing news, the M2 has been dragged way too long

Wellllll Colinv6 our Donnington party seems to be cut short D:

I guess it's mineral grey for me... or LBB? That color's a little too loud for me but I don't want a color as dark as MG.

Damn, they're really sticking us in between a rock and a hard place with this.

Oh well, still super excited for even the slightest bit of news at this point haha.

M235i is already heavier than the 1M this car better be light. With only 30hp more don't think it will worth it if it end up weighting the same as a M235i

If the details are correct, I certainly am a bit underwhelmed. Color choices are "ok" but certainly would have been nice to see some specific or new M colors. Like someone said, almost every other dude will have these colors.

The engine seems underwhelming as well. N55 is almost a deal breaker, depending on what else is integrated into the car (CF bits etc.)
The 1M could pull off the "legendary" status due to a short production cycle and limited numbers, none of which will be true with the M2. The car will most likely weigh more than the M235.

For now, the M3/4 is definitely calling my name next year. Shall wait and see.

Sakhir Orange or Alpine White. I'm really underwhelmed by this so far. This may be a "buy it used in 5-7years, buy a crashed M4, and build a REAL M2" (engine guys, engine) project..... I'll wait till I get to drive one though to make a final decision.

I'm expecting to see CFRP panels that will reduce weight to 228 levels but with slightly more than M235 power. That's the perfect car.

We should also see more attention to weight saving up front so the car has a perfect 50/50 balance instead of being front-heavy like the M235. All of that combined would make it a much better car.

The color choices should have been:

Alpine White
Imola Red
Lemans Blue
Jet Black
Silverstone, for those who want a metallic.

I see a lot of wraps in the future.

The ATS-V is calling my name with these low initial numbers for the M2.

455 hp and 445 ft lb from a 3.6 v6 Twin turbo. Cadillac is really calling out the M3/M4 on this one ! Alot of factory stock options on the ATS-V that are extra on the M4.

Don't see how it's any different than the 1M though.

Mark my words. I'm totally guessing, but if this is the exterior choice, I'm not even going to be remotely surprised if the interior choice is black leather with blue contrast stitching.

Go MG man. I think that's gonna look absolutely amazing. Those flares are really going to pop with this color.

And not my car (and that's SG, but it's close enough):
