I doubt they’re offering any discounts especially $5k. If you don’t want the LCI for Msrp they’ll gladly sell you the M2C in 6 months for over Msrp. It took a long time for the M2 production numbers to catch up with demand. M2C will be no different.

I happened to stop at a local dealer that had a black M2 LCI with 6 speed and executive package with a window sticker with MSRP:$60,260
The reason for the increased cost was the addition of several M Performance options (e.g. carbon fiber, black side gills, etc.).
Their web site said:
Get ePrice
CONDITIONAL INCENTIVES
Manufacturer Offer
$2,000 CASH BACK ON SELECT BMW MODELS

Lower on the page it noted other incentives BMW offers in select cases, so if you can find an M2 on the lot, one or more of these incentives may apply.
Manufacturer Offers
Financing Offer : 3.99% APR for 60 months on select BMW models
Military Offer : $2,000 cash back on select BMW models
Corporate Sales Offer : $500 cash back on select BMW models

The problem is they usually exclude M models from their incentives.

It will probably depend on your area. I received $5500 CAD off my 2018 just over a week ago.

If you go over to the pricing thread there have been a number of people getting great deals on 18 m2s. Here is my deal from 3 weeks ago:

2018 M2 purchased 4/27 at BMW of Des Moines
Long Beach Blue
Executive package,
DCT,
Moonroof,
Blk kidney grills
Blk side grills

MSRP $62175
Price $57475
4700 off msrp
$2k fleet discount
Final price $55475

I had a similar deal lined up in Chicago on a white M2 but decided to buy closer to home. So there are deals out there.

If you are eligible for it, the BMW fleet discount of $2k off the m2 is still active at least through the end of the month.

I had a fantastic 25% off from price list and 3K overvalue for my old Mini JCW. I think I had a super deal.

Back in March i ordered mine with 4k off msrp, should be here in couple of weeks. If i were to take one from the dealership i could have gotten even more discount.

OK, you forgot to remove the bag with cash from the boot of your Mini JCW at the time of trade-in.

No. Amount of car with optional and registration (a tax we pay in Italy when you bay a car) was 82K Euro. After discount the offer was at 61,5k. They invoice me M2 at 58,5 because deduct other 3k for overvaluation of Mini(or extra discount, call as you want). Then they deduct 5K, the real value of Mini. I paid 53,5k Euro.

Can you comment on what your freight, PDI, and admin fees were?
BMW dealers are notorious for playing games with these fees. They are actually set by head office. There should be no increased freight and PDI for M cars, yet certain dealers charge more. Freight and PDI should be $2495, total and admin $595 (or less).

Another game is played with trade-in values: you get a bigger discount off the new car which makes you feel good, and a lower value on the trade (which they still deceptively describe as a great deal)!

Ordered my factory order M2 five weeks ago, just over 💷 5K GBP discount. Collect it next week (Thursday), can't wait. Getting rid of my 14 month old M140i, it's an OK car, but the chassis dynamics is s@@t.

Hi,

I based that discount off dealer fees and freight/PDI of about $3000. I negotiated an out the door price so I just let them worry about how they wanted to break down the pricing.

Here is a snip of my quote, total price $65810+tax (2018 LBB, 6MT, CarPlay, and Sunroof). My actual agreement was a hair less but I don't have a digital copy of it.

Nobody should be paying markups over MSRP. There's no excuse for it when there are hundreds of dealers across the country that don't mark up.
I know it's especially prevalent in the Bay area, but I keep saying this over and over: If consumers refuse to buy from dealerships that mark them up, then they will stop marking them up.

Tell the markup dealers to pack sand and you will take your money elsewhere. You have hundreds of choices of BMW dealers.

In regards to markup, I'm currently shopping for an X1/X2, and I got to talking to sales rep in regards to the M2C. And this is the Bay Area:

These are direct quotes from numerous sales people on the floor when it comes to the M2C:

BMW San Francisco - "The M2 Competition will likely be $30,000 over MSRP"
Peter Pan BMW - "The M2 Competition will be at least $20,000 over MSRP"

That's ridiculous. Take a weekend trip somewhere nice in a different state like Portland or Seattle and talk to the dealers there.

Unfortunately in your area, there are too many people with stupid money and they won't care what it costs to have the latest status toy to show off (I know, I lived in SF for two years).

You know what was more infuriating?

Me: "How many manuals M2C delivery are you guys expecting when it's released?"
Sales people: "We're expecting them all to be the DCT."

I walked out so fast, people's jackets were moving in my wake.

I expect there will be quite a bit of demand for MT, but they will have to be custom ordered. Dealerships will go for the easy, low-hanging fruit (and coincidental $3k markup) and stock their lots with DCT.

I've planned on custom spec'ing mine all along. I'm planning ED anyway, so I'll spec MT.

I wouldn't mind going to Portland to pick up a car... There's no sales tax there right?

Yeah, unfortunately CA will extract their pound of flesh once you register it.
But at least you might find a dealer who isn't marking up.

I don't know about that. I'm on two dealership lists for the M2C, and both have told me they haven't heard very much interest in the vehicle, with definitely less interest than the OG M2.
