Maybe because M4 > M2?

I would like to see the trunk in person or in video at very least. It is hard to get a true perspective with a few picture locked at certain angles. It might look amazing in person fully painted, you never know.

If you have to tell traffic behind you that it's an upgrade, that defeats the purpose IMO.

I originally compared it to the cheesy TOMMY HILFIGER branding of the 90s.
Reminds me of the ducktail that came on the e46 CSL. Who knows what prepped for paint will mean and if that m performance will just be a decal for user application later.

Bjoern Lellmann said m performance is painted. Also all body panels come primer except for exposed gloss carbon sections.

I understand what you mean on the split tail - I want to see it in person before I decide if I really like it or not, but it’s definitely “different” for the M2 and could be a cool thing. It’s always hard for me to make up my mind until I have seen it in the flesh.

That’s a good point on the decal front - if that’s something that could be removed easily, then I am going to be much more interested.

And I would add a black M2 badge in the “normal” spot.

What does the M perf suspension consist of? springs and dampers? Coilovers?

Yes, it's a full set of coil overs, essentially a KW kit rebranded as M performance
