For DD use, I'd put a set of 18" wheels on, and save the 19" for special occasions. But, my eyeball sees very little gap between the Comp calipers and the rim. Would 18" rims even fit?

18’s won’t fit with 2NH brakes. They are actually the M3/M4 carbon ceramic calipers in silver with iron rotors.

Got that right. Still find it bizarre. They show an M2 Competition that would come with the 8 pot front brakes, yet swap the brakes for the M parts in red. I know there are some people that might prefer the silver calipers, but I just don't get it myself. BMW is so late to the game on monoblocks to begin with. Finally the blue calipers, but now silver??? This is just killing me (in advance of knowing anything for sure!) |

I assume the car in the photos also is riding on the optional coil overs hence the great stance and lack of wheel gap?

But it's nothing a paint job can't fix. They're so sweet, I'm considering getting them and having them painted.

If you have to tell traffic behind you that it's an upgrade, that defeats the purpose IMO. I originally compared it to the cheesy TOMMY HILFIGER branding of the 90s.

Ah, those wheels Never been a fan of white cars, but I would rock the M2 in white with some of the M performance parts, not a big fan of the fender gills (they look like an afterthought), wing or stripes, but everything else
Great pics by the way

Went to my local BMW garage today (have had my deposit down for M2C since last month), I mainly wanted to see if they had any updated info on when orders go live, and delivery estimates etc.
I asked them if they had heard anything re carbon roof.... unsurprisingly they had no idea. Somewhat surprisingly, they said they WOULD NOT be happy installing a carbon roof at their dedicated bodyshop, and the Parts Manager, also gave the same stance. They were of belief that this would have to be a factory option, as not many bodyshops would be happy doing this work... |

At a body shop, I'm sure they'd be weary of the quality and installation process as it's not something they always do -- educate them about it being an M Performance part directly from factory and that it was meant for after-sales installation. Without knowing more, the shop may think it's some crappy aftermarket part that isn't going to fit and that it doesn't come with all the hardware. |
