Why not 265/30 285/30? That's what I was gonna get.

That’s what I was thinking to get too. I’d like to know how it is on a slightly lowered car too.

What to do if you have spacers... I think my fitment is spot on currently with 12mm front 10 mm rear on stock tire sizes lowered with MPS. If I go up to 255/275 I'd probably have to reduce the spacers to 7mm front 5mm rear? I'm not sure if it works linearly like that so correct me if I'm wrong!

In any case, the most common size spacers I found in that range are 6mm so that's probably what I'd have to switch to.

I think I realized why not. There aren't any good matched options available in 265/30 and 285/30 on Tire Rack.

275/30 and 295/30 seem okay, but not sure if they're too wide for our car and wheels. Otherwise 265/35 and 285/65 would be the next best option.

I run RE-71Rs - 255/35 and 285/35. Pretty good setup for the track, no issues. 265/35s are too tall of a tire for the front, they scrape very bad under heavy compression.

If my M2 were more of the street car I would run 255/35 and 275/35 for a little better water / hydroplane resistance.

I just bought a set of 437m wheels from a M3 with stock Conti 5P's on them, 255/275, and have been running them on my M2 for two days now. The car spins significantly less with them, compared to the stock 245/265 tires. Due to the increase width, but also the tires are a bit stickier.

Before that, I was set on getting 265/285, but now that I'm looking at it, I think I'm gonna stick with 255/275 going forward because they are quite a bit cheaper.

Maybe after more mods and tune (only have eventuri intake right now) I'll switch to 265/285 if I feel they're needed.

I just installed this size in the PS4S last week. Great choice, should have been the as delivered tire size in my opinion. Also AutoX'ed for two days and great wear pattern on this size.

Do you mean 265/35 are too wide for the front? 255/35 should be same height as 265/35. Only difference should be width. Is your car all stock suspension with this 255/35 and 285/35 set-up? I am looking to do max tire width on total stock suspension.

Incorrect. A 265/35 is taller than a 255/35. The "35" refers to the percentage of the overall width. The percentage of the overall width is the height of the sidewall. So the sidewall of the 265/35 is actually 3.5mm taller than the sidewall of the 255/35.
