Keep in mind we're talking about the M2 CS here. Not to be mistaken with the CSL (if there is even such a car coming) |

I've accepted living vicariously through the euro dudes. I was so envious of the folks able to get their hands on the e46 CSL. Maybe with this generation we'll get lucky and have BMW throw a bone our way. Come on, show us some love already.

The M2 CS is the only way I'd jump back onto the M2 bandwsgo bandwagon. Especially if it's available with 6MT! |

Whilst news of a M2 CS is a great thing, I'm really scarred by the price of this thing and I think it will be in line with what others have mentioned. R&D and bespoke tooling on a limited run model is going to cost $ which will ultimately be passed on to the purchaser.
£60k (UK) M2 - no thanks! Are people here OK with the high price tag or do you genuinely think this will come in at a more 'affordable' price? |

So the question is, many of us here want this car, but who would seriously consider buying one if it was the same price as a GT4 in your country? (£65k base price in the UK + options)

Wow. I guess i'll have to 'make do' with the standard M2 and just pay my mortgage off instead!
In all seriousness, it's a classic argument. We all want it, we all say we'd buy one, but the reality is that most people won't be able to afford one. |

Personally, the M2 CS is the only M2 I'd be interested in. It definitely will be an expensive car, but it has the potential to be as big of a cult car as the E30 M3 EVO, E46 M3 CSL and E92 M3 GTS. Those cars don't come around too often and I really would love one |

if they will produce a light car and put about 430 hp with the S55, this could become a very serious contender for the race track enthusiasts. Imagine : an M2 manual should weight around 1460 kg (empty weight) already today with all options included as standard. Cut weight with: titanium exhaust, low weight battery, carbon roof, hood and so on, race seats and light back seats and add the carboceramic and larger Cup 2 tires.I know, I know the price will be at least in Europe 40.000 euro more at the end, but what you would get in change?
the empty weight would be close to 1350 kg (similar to the Gt4 ) with 430 hp weighting at least 200 kg less than a M4 .I think that this car with the same carbo brakes of the M4 but at least 200 kg less could really deliver soooo strong performances and become something that Porsche will not like too...

Seem like CSL have a 50% premium over the regular car. Let hope a CS will be down to 25% or less. But hey Bmw why not make it cheaper than the regular M2 as you gonna take luxury away from it

The M4 GTS is HERE. The days of North America not getting cars is at the very least dawning if not already nearly approaching midday. BMW has been on a decided charge to push BMW M and BMW Individual in North America since the turn of the decade. It's pretty obvious how they boosted both categories by making the M3/M3 in about 5 shades of white and gray as we have a new individual color M3-m4 on these pages at least once a week. BMW M sells more cars in the US than anywhere else. It's absolutely worth bringing limited edition models here now and actually BMW AG would be stupid to not do so. as far as concerns about being limited ... I'm already in line at 2 dealers. Hmm perhaps I should call a third ... |

The UK got 422 M3 CSLs and 500 CSLs in the 70's. Based on that I'd guess we'd get at least 250-300 if they were priced around 65k. That's around 2 cars per dealer. My only concern is the production limitations. If there's still strong demand for the base M2 and limitations still exist in 2017/18, the number of CS/CSL/GTS cars produced may be drastically lower.

Whether or not this car is coming to the US is not the question. It IS coming, and I'm not speculating here. How much it'll cost is what worries me. But do I really care? I'm thinking not. We used to not get these cars in the US and they would only come with SMG/DCT. Here's our chance! I guess I'll be eating instant noodles everyday until the end of 2017

Unlimited to the amount of vehicles BMW can produce. They will likely still be producing the M2 in LCI form 5 years from now and there will be a lot of them. It's not a "limited run".
Now an M2 CS/CSL like you I'm #1 on my dealers list... Esp if the price ends up being what a decently loaded M4 costs. |

Of course it's a BMW. Which means as usual, it can provide 95 percent of the performance of a Porsche for around 75-80 percent of the price, so I don't expect an M2 CS to be more than about $67k plus perhaps CCB and paint choice as the only option. If they Make it under $75k and it'll be in my garage. |
