Best would be the Jb4 ... It offers more features, flexibility and failsafes than any other option

I'm also about to buy a Remus exhaust and noticed you posted about a new Remus high flow downpipe? What would this downpipe cost shipped to Melbourne Australia? 3136. |

Hi Mike - is the JB4 a purely OBD based tuning solution? So, no physical ECU unlocking required?
Curious how the maps work with these solutions, the only ECU tunes I have had in the past were through APR for my VAG cars and they were done at the workshop, so a little unclear how this works. Is it a one size fits all map or are there options based on requirements, car mods, fuel etc? I am in Australia, I use 98RON fuel and will have a Fabspeed Sport Cat and Eventuri intake. By all means, feel free to PM me if that's more appropriate. Trying to understand the BMW tuning options, I find it a little confusing. Thanks

JB4 connect to OBD, MAP, TMAP,etc... It does not make any changes to the ECU values, so you wont need to unlock the ECU. It comes with 8 different maps, you also have access to a custom map

Mike is suggesting the JB4 because its the only one he can sell to you, the truth is MHD or BM3 are flash tunes that are cheaper and better than the old piggy back style that the JB4 is and you can buy them and flash you car yourself.

Better depends on the person and application BTW: OP asked for best tuning chip (piggyback), its the JB4 hands down. MHD and Bm3 are not piggybacks.

I honestly do not know.
Funny part is that some dont even put the effort to come up with a good excuse. I was accused of recommending the JB4 because i want to sell him as if i cant sell him the BM3 and make money

Have heard good things about JB4, personally I went with Bootmod3. Very quick and easy to use. Good value for the price.
