Remus warranty

Hey guys, need some advice before I throw in the towel.

I purchased an og exhaust system with cf tips through remus about a year ago and few months back the cf tips seem a bit faded. So i reached out to Mike from remususa and he helped me process an approved warranty claim but couldn’t ship out to me because they were out of stock. Emailed him a month ago and had a problem with distribution, sent him another message two weeks ago but hit with the automated “remususa has been closed”. I immediately fwd the msgs history to remus in austria but seems like they aren’t responding.

Any other suggestions?

Hi,
Unless you are going to buy new ones, your only option is to contact REMUS Austria and wait for their response

Is it the clearcoat delaminating? That is an easy fix. Search on YT for DIY. I fixed mine and used the hi temp engine clearcoat.

The tricky part is that Remus carbon fiber tips are matte clear coated. Feels similar to the open pore carbon fiber trim on the interior

In the same boat, but with different tips. Only a cosmetic thing and can barely notice unless really looking.

XHP Mike and Sherri has been super helpful and attentive, even though the situation is beyond their control.

I'll say this, Remus is still one of, if not the best exhaust choice for OG M2. The exhaust itself build quality is tops. Only the tips seem to have some durability issues. In my case after 2.5 years.

It's an unfortunate situation with the distributor. I'm guessing COVID really messed up a lot of things.

That is strange, I had one tip fading and they changed all four under warranty as they had changed the logo. I dealt with Austria and the Swiss importer though.
Try calling Austria directly. They will take care of you.

I posted an update to the thread linked above.

After over 1 month, I was finally able to get my warranty claim approved and a new set remus tips were sent out to me. I'm sure they're having tons of issues to iron out as a company but personally I'm reassured again but can't leave without saying it was a horrible month of being ghosted.

I only really noticed it after my first wash after winter. I’m also a bit confused if this has a 2 or 3 year warranty.

Will try to contact Austria, does anyone know if the new cf tips (simple R design) do the same?
