I can't believe no one makes a power dome hood for the 2-series
I assume this is the one you found in the UK?

Planning to order it this week. If there's a way of doing it where both parties are covered I'll be more than happy to act as a distributor if anyone on the US is after it. Will give them a call tomorrow to get some more info on it first, particularly regarding fitment and gaps!

Yeah.. that's the one. they haven't responded to my email. the store that did respond was Autoenhance and they said "Unfortunately we wouldn’t ship a bonnet to the states due to the high risk of damages, we have yet to find a courier company that would insure a bonnet for overseas shipping."

the armaspeed one which is the GTS style and made by a few companies... or at least marketed by a few companies... is ok but I find it a bit much from some angles. kinda Japanese tunery

Lead time for delivery here in the UK is 4-6 weeks. I was informed that fitment is good as they have the hood on their demo 1 series. Awaiting some additional photos to clarify this and have held off on ordering it as I'm debating whether the MP hood might be money better spent.

Will await the photos before making a final call

My understanding is the M Performance hood is going to be astronomically expensive. What price have you seen?

I'm personally leaning toward the M performance hood being the best option because of quality. Real shame it's so much loot though.

My local dealer has quoted me £2600 including VAT and fitting. That's £400 less than RRP here in the UK but still an eye watering amount of beans

I don't know how you're getting that price unless they are set to come down from an initial launch price: https://www.bmwpartspros.com/partloc...egoryID=244795

I think I'd be more apt to get one of these and fill in the vents: https://www.vividracing.com/-p-15187...kaAv9uEALw_wcB

Not sure whether dealers work differently this side of the pond but whenever buying MP parts from my local BMW I have always managed to get a decent amount off. As long as they sell above they're minimum markup everyone is happy. When getting the quote for the hood I played them off against another dealer that had it advertised for RRP.

I've heard that hood is like $4,500-6,000 though.
