Today was the day I replaced the cloth shift and e-brake boots with leather versions;

For those who prefer the look and feel of leather, it's an easy upgrade, and the leather is a perfect match for the leather wrapped shift knob and e-brake handle.

So, I posted this in the Suspension section, but thought it was important to let others know that when checking the factory alignment at 250 miles , to set a base line, we found out that the rear toe and r/r camber were out of spec. GTE fixed it and the car seems to drive smoother ( without rear toe out):

Removed the protective tape from the fin, post-wrap. Installed M Performance gloss black side gills. That really was as easy as everyone said it was.

Did the ASD bypass, and replaced the wireless cradle with the rubber mat.

You're right, the links for ECS Tuning appear to have moved, but searching by the BMW part number will bring up many BMW dealer links, or searching the ECS site by part number will work, as well. Thanks for letting us know.

Picked car up, proceeded to tape the entire front, and drove it home where it got XPEL, the removal of the 2 from the trunk, and tint.

Do you guys know if the car gets shipped with any kind of protective wrap? I'm just wondering if I could request that the wrap be left on the car? I don't want to spend all that time taping it up for the drive to the xpel installer.

The car is shipped with a white protective film on the hood and roof only...not counting the clear PPF that is on the rear fenders.

I asked this very question but was told that this isn't an option for performance center delivery. However, I suspect you can work it out with your local dealer if your car is direct to dealer. If I recall, someone on the forums did just that and drove it straight to Detailer's Domain.
