Yea, I wouldn't get it if I couldn't disable the nannies.

I'm willing to bet that it is easier to find one with the Exec Package rather than without it.

Does anyone with a '16 or '17 Exec Pkg know if you have to hit those nanny 'off' buttons every time you start the car?

And guess what the JD Power Initial Quality Survey reported today as the biggest trend in consumer complaints about new cars? Electronic nannies!
From today's Automotive News: "The only category to worsen this year was features, controls and displays. The largest increases in problems were for cruise control (primarily adaptive cruise); lane-departure warning; collision-avoidance/alert systems; and blind-spot warning." |

a few things, if you don't get the exec you will pick up a bit more storage where the buttons are on the left side. the phone charger will not fit a galaxy s7 in a case or any + size phone and its not a fast charge so its somewhat limited. never once used a camera on any of my cars but the rear sensors have save my butt more times than I can remember. live in la so have never used heated anything. re my18, had adaptive on my S5s and its great. auto dimming brights are great. in heavy traffic with surprises the early warning stuff can be a life saver. exec at least out in la is smart for resale.

Okay, I changed my mind today after almost getting side swiped by an Audi A8 driver who was reading his mail while on the freeway. I don't need it, but everyone else does! :-]
Edit: Oh, and I used the horn for the first time.....and it sounds pretty decent/effective. Last edited by M2Nebula; 06-22-2017 at 04:32 PM.. |

How about that lane departure warning nonsense (for those of you w/Exec Pkg cars), does that stay off on restarts?

My iPhone 6+ could fit inside the center console of my 2er (but not in the snap-in phone accessory). Is the center console in the wireless charging equipped car smaller? Or is the footprint of the wireless charger just small?

Someone mentioned above about dynamic cruise control.... I was not aware this had it. Either way I'm happy with my executive package. Don't like the way the lane stay feature works, prefer it in my wife's merc as a loud alarm goes off which wakes the hell out of both of us on long drives. Rear view sensors are nice but most importantly, the automatic high beams are awesome to use on a twisty canyon road. |
