I don't really like that front bumper. Didn't really notice the design until this render.

I do however really like those bonnet vents, though they'll almost surely do something more boring.

I think a wide m2 would just be gorgeous.

I'm not convinced that BMW will give it all the M3/M4 styling cues and do the full weight reduction program. Especially not the CF roof. But I'd expect it to get the M3/M4 suspension, brakes, M Diff, and most of the actual go-fast parts.

I think BMW will probably want to keep the M3/M4 at the top of the BMW performance hill. (And I know beyond any shadow of a doubt that past, current, and future M3/M4 owners will want the M3/M4 to stay on top of the BMW performance hill.)

Which means that the M2 should be slower than the M3/M4. Easy to do. Keep the weight at or near that of the M3/M4 and keep the power between M235i and M3/M4 levels. That way M2 buyers can have the fastest 2 series ever made, for a lower price than the M3/M4. And it wouldn't threaten the M3/M4 in terms of performance, prestige, sales cannibalization, or any of that.

Just my $0.02.
I think you are spot on. The one item I would say "wait and see" is the CF roof. Scott said that its been discussed and still on the table for an M2 or more progressive M2 model (paraphrasing).

Car looks amazing. I think the front bumper will be very close to production and we will see the M side mirrors as well. Really hoping the rear quarter panels get more of a wide F80/1M look as opposed to the M4 look.

Hello ED 2016.

My only critique about this PS is that the rear flares should be much much wider. Look at the picture posted with the PS, and how far those rear wheel wells stick out. Still happy to see someone finally doing the front end properly though

BMW please take my money now! And my first born, if need be!
Looks great in red, but I'll have mine black. Love the front end and hood vents - I hope those actually happen.
Beautiful render.

IMO, it's good practice to first render a close-as-possible representation of the production model, THEN go crazy with the aftermarket bits (wing, front lip, vents etc.).

But, otherwise, looks good. Excited to follow its development.

Gorgeous, but get rid of the wing and the M2 emblem in the kidney...and I'd love to see it in Silverstone.

What a car. Can't. Wait.

I'm not feeling the rims, wing or hood blisters (not that my opinion is worth anything ) But I like the overall look and think that's close to what we will see... minus the wheels, spoiler and hood blisters

The spoiler just spoils the looks for a street car.
