What kind of blue stitching in the inerior

O.K.
After lot of thinking,I decided that I change the OEM seats for a Recaro Pole Position ABE.This seats can I use without problem on public road, and yesterday I could try it and it was (with good setting for me...front bolt max. up, rear bolt max. down)perfect. I would like maybe to have the upholstery individual make.I was yesterday at the upholsterer and he show me a lots of leather and a different colour of blue thread, but I don't know exactly wich blue the is the original color. Can anybody help me?

Long Beach Blue is the name. Not sure if a normal person can source OEM upholstery... iND can, that's for sure.

Beware: the orange stitching thread of the 1M seats is "Kyalami Orange", not "Valencia Orange", but looks similar.

So the blue stitching thread of the M2 seats ain't necessary "Long Beach Blue", though it looks similar too.

Why do you want to use Dakota as opposed to the higher end leather used in other M cars? Pole Position is an awesome choice. Have it in my daily driver. However you are aware that this will not render the rear seat pretty useless?

My choice it is sure,I buy the Pole Position, but I don't know which kind of unpolstery yet.OEM Recaro or individual?Today I met my friend who has a M4 (12.000 km Merino leather) ,and his wife has 435i (50.000 km dakota leather),both were rather worn at the driver side. The best choise would be the OEM Recaro unpolstery?!

Thanks for Polar blue!!!

My trim is the like the pic. Alcantara in the middle and fine leather in other parts. So far so good but I've only had it for 9 months.

Leather will wear our pretty quickly if you don't maintain it. Dakota is more durable than Merino for sure.
