I know this is the wrong forum. I really look forward to the m2, so that I can drive it one day and compare to my 235 and the m4. I really wanted the m4 at first......

But now I drove the huracan and lol at the m2 or the m4. The huracan (its performance not even it's looks) makes the m4 and the 235 look like a joke. If the huracan is a 10, then the 235 is a 0 and the m4 a 1,and that's saying a lot because both the 235 and m4 are amazingly well built cars...

Now I need to figure out when and how I will buy it.

Sorry,I will not be in the m2 boat or bmw boat anymore.
Guys this guy has a good point.

So is this car just another LCI M235i or actual M car without M mirrors, M specific seat and CF roof????

To me, M2 is lack of true M motorsport spirit but rather developed as part of M model expansion throughout their line ups compare to M3/M4 and M5/M6

M logo on a regular M235i seats with different color stitch seriously???? Does this make them a M specific seat?

A glass sunroof and No CFRP option?
Think about it compare to 1M, we can definitely tell BMW put a lot more effort into developing 1M than M2

I love the car but you're comparing the wrong cars lol.
Even better: one M3 + fuel & tires for many miles.

LOL. how foolish...

so i guess the BMW M1 was not a 'true' M car either?

i love these amateurs trying to define what a 'true M' is while owning a bloated fat M3 which defies all logic for compact M cars.

Why won't it happen soon? Isn't it hitting the EU market this year?

Global launch day is April 16 2016. If it follows the 1M we should see journalists get test drives after the US intro at Detroit in January.

We have to wait after the World Debut of the M2 in January in Detroit before any reviews. My guess we will see a review end of January/February.

Good thing is that it's the holiday season now. Thanksgiving, Christmas so time is flying and I sure do not spend that much time on the M2 boards because of it.

Base price: 509 000 SEK (Sweden)
Compared to the bigger markets in EU, this is a bargain.

BMW has lost their way. If the i8 is to the brand a halo car, the M2 is an embarrassment. At least to those of us that have been owners for a considerable length of time and M owners.

I will not buy another M car if this is their idea of honoring M history with yet another dilution of what M means in the BMW brand.

Still the best performing new car at its price point.
