Some national importers may artificially limit numbers, ie: BMW GB limiting imports of the 1M Coupé to 500 units and naming them '1 of 500'. BMW AG or DE IIRC didn't limit sales.

Also, in the european countries which have already published M2 brochures I haven't noticed 'limited production' being mentioned. I'd say the only thing which will have a dramatic impact on production would be a strong increase in demand for the other models built at Leipzig. Daily production at Leipzig is up to 740 vehicles of BMW 1 series, BMW 2 series, BMW M2, BMW 2 Series Active Tourer and electric vehicles.
In other words, our production is limited because of the production of those s**tboxes with FWD... only increases the value of our cars when we are able to get one

Today I received the first pricing details about M Performance parts for the M2.

Exterior
- Carbon wing mirrors – 8.975,-/pc CZK - 332 EUR per piece
- Black gloss trim grilles – 1.776,-/ pc CZK - 65 EUR per piece
- Black side M gill elements - no price yet
- Carbon fiber rear spoiler – 13.257,- CZK - 490 EUR
- Carbon side sill attachments – 2.980,- /pc CZK - 110 EUR per piece
- Rear diffusor in carbon – 11.520,- CZK - 426 EUR

Interior
- M Performance steering wheel with shift lights and Race Display – 42.236,- CZK - 1562 EUR
- Carbon M-DKG gear selector lever – 6.078,- CZK - 224 EUR
- Carbon handbrake lever – 4.450,- CZK - 164 EUR
- Stainless steel pedal covers - 3.956,-/ set - 146 EUR

Looking at these I am like uhmmm, I am not so sure the dealer was right. Pricing looks weird. 500 EUR for a spoiler??? I remember mine for the 135i was like 150 EUR, and 426 EUR for the diffusor while the one for my 135i was like 1500 EUR. Also amazed about how cheap the interior carbon stuff is.

All those prices are similar to what is available now (some parts are the same etc). The only price that sounds to good to be true is the diffuser. The diffuser for the M4 is twice that and smaller.

I asked them again and he gave me the prices for the M235i and not the M2 pricing. We need to wait until the new year before we have prices available for the M2. If only he would have told me that immediately.

Thanks for the information. Interesting info about the coding, but I think pulling the plug is easier and faster

Oh, really? I'll honk when I see you on the road.

It's a BMW dealer and they're always expensive. Leebmann24 has much better pricing - spoiler €366, mirrors €225, etc.

Now talking to my dealer to see how we can disengage the ASD unit.

I'll be surprised if they agree to disable the ASD thing... It's a dealer, you know, but I guess guys at Invelt are not that strict.

I do not know if you are from Prague, but I will keep you posted when the car has arrived, and then we will do a mini-meet and let you experience the M2. #bmwfans

Received information on the running in service for the BMW M2 Coupe from my dealer.

After 1200 miles or 2000 km the dealer will do an engine oil and oil filter replacement. They will also change the oil in the rear differential and they will unlock the running in mode.

Next service will follow the internal system messages from within the car and normal service procedures.

I didn't see any M2 brochure until now. But I hope they will appear soon.

Yes, they have 'cause they don't put Motorsport/turbo stripes anymore on their cars from factory.

New update :)

Production date set for my BMW M2 Coupe. Production is between 15th and 22nd of February. Delivery early March.

Also working on my special number plate, sorting that next week.

Appointment for PPF has also been set. Not sure about the wrap details on the car, I have not been able to find a good wrap with a decent quality that looks like a real carbon roof. So far what I have seen are matte vinyl wraps, and not shinny vinyl wraps.

Hopefully soon more

Ah, vanity plates. Heard people are going for some cringeworthy combinations.

Congrats. Early bird.

Do you mean delivery early March to your dealer or to you ?

If delivery to your dealer: your dealer will be embargoed by BMW for M2 delivery to you until the end of the April 16, 2016 M2 launch weekend, I assume ?

Official BMW Press release for The Netherlands about the M2 (see here):
"Vanaf 16 april 2016 staat de BMW M2 Coupé in de showroom voor €79.990."
("From April 16, 2016 onwards the BMW M2 Coupé will be at the showroom for EUR79,990.")

Congrats/Gefeliciteerd again.

Yesterday I was composing(...) my car with my dealer, M2 overhere doesn't have many options because in NL it comes standard with almost everything (DCT) except for metallic colours, electrical seats and small options, but this one I did not notice:

(From your info overhere)
'7NH Service Inclusive - 5 years/100.000 km'

This is a EU/ROW thing or only in Belgium?

I want that

And anybody choosing the M track/unlimited topspeed package?
It's almost € 2.5k overhere and I don't want a trackday 'for free' included by BMW NL because that's a few times a year what I m doing myself for less. Speedlimiter tot 270kph(168mph)... For 2.5k. euros? That's a lot of money...

Cheers
Robin
