Did anyone else complete the BMW M2 Instagram challenge? I received an email this afternoon alerting me that I am one of the winners chosen. I wanted to see if anyone else has received a similar message and/or if it is legit. If it is i am super stoked. Can anyone from BMW confirm Jason ?

Nice, I'm kind of hesitant. Because the prize package is over a certain $ amount I need to complete at W-9 and provide a bunch of personal information. I contacted BMW NA regarding the prize and promotion and they said they don't have any affiliation with the promotion, however I remember going back to a Secured BMW website to register. I'm going to have to do some investigative work. I'll keep everyone posted.

If requested to advance costs of whatever nature to 'release' the prize (administration, customs, tax, charges, legal, etc.): tell them that they may keep the prize or, even better, ignore.

It's run by a company called HelloWorld (formally ePrize) and from what I've seen they are pretty legit. Going to contact them and a couple other places tomorrow to get some more info. I sure do hope it's real seeing as the prize is an all expense paid 2 day M School event at the Thermal Club for 2 people with a bunch of swag.

Yes! I completed the M2 IG Chase and also received an email yesterday afternoon. So I won a BMW hat and high gloss print! I'm stoked! Seems pretty legit to me. All I had to do was provide my shipping address. The confirmation said my prize would ship in 8 to 10 weeks.

Yeah I did. Two day M School at the West Coast Performance Center (Thermal Club) for two people. It includes; airfare, hotel accommodations, the school, and promotional gear (at the discretion of the promotional sponsor). I'm real pumped, should be hearing more soon hopefully it all works out.
I will definitely be documenting the whole process.

i just got the same exact email you did. I tried to go back into the final instagram account to check their link again but it was taken down. How can we find out if its a legit email? mine doesn't say i won. it says i'm a potential winner and have won a flight for 2 people.

i just got off the phone with bmwusa customer relations and told them about the email i had receive. I was told to continue on with survey as they have third party for marketing. hmmm

Congrats! I contacted BMWUSA as well and received the same response. It seems as though I got the very same email as yourself. After doing research on the marketing company (as well as calling them and emailing them several times) they seemed to be legitimate so I went ahead and completed the documentation and faxed it in (I too was skeptical). I received a confirmation email back the next day saying they have received all required information and I would be hearing from them shortly (I received the initial email on 11/18 and sent my response back on 11/22). I'm guessing they want to confirm all grand prize winners prior to getting in contact with them to verify all final details. If you would like feel free to DM me and we can discuss more. Now I just hope this all comes to fruition.

However, just a small word of caution to avoid unpleasant experiences: prior to sending your personal data, check whether you're definitely dealing with the official legit people.

Agreed, I found that page prior to submitting my information. I was also reaffirmed once I saw the M2 release video that was posted on the front page a week or so ago showing the release film from the periscope unveil that also highlighted the @72to16 IG contest. Still waiting to hear back from the company and confirm scheduling. Hopefully soon so I can get in my request for PTO at work. Thank you for your concern.

Last email I received said they had to push the date back to sometime in March.
