Hi all

Anyone attempted to purchase 34402222539 - a f22 m perf part with a carbon fibre handle.

I'm planning to swap the oem parking handle with the cf piece and would like to know if it's a straightforward fix.

Thanks

Mine was a b**ch to put on, took two people to get it all the way in. But most people have no problems at all. Should be a 10 min swap.

As said. It should be a very easy job. I did mine in 5-10 minutes and most of that time was making sure the boot was on straight and the stitching lined up as I like.

Mine took 15 mins or so, hardest part for me was getting the boot off where it attaches to the arm rest console, rest was easy.

Very straight forward, just start with the clips on the boot and then pull hard on the handle. A couple min job if you can find a good position to pull.

I'd like to know if anyone managed to swap the handles and reuse the oem alcantara polar blue boot.

The std oem handle is plain black plastic/rubber finish. The m perf part is cf but the alcantara finish has criss cross grey stitch.

I bought the Performance Carbon Interior kit and used this DIY, it has the hand brake removal instructions:

Yes mate, i bought the kit in the DIY i posted above, it only comes with the handle so you re-use the OEM boot.

Just watch your teeth when you pull it off!! I swapped out the ebrake and the shift knob in my F30 (basically the same process) and nearly knocked my tooth out when pulling it off lol. Felt like a dumb ass, but in the end successful and these guys are correct, takes only a few minutes.
