Has anyone blacked out their headlights?

I don't mean tinting the outside, i mean actually painting the chrome inside the housing black.

Curious as to what it would look like on an f87

Because i don't like them. They look too squished in there. The shape is odd. I like stock better.

I just want a black out like this:

Wondering if anyone's done it or if i have to be the guinea pig

Agreed. Anyway i emailed ONEighty NYC to inquire about pricing and asked if they've done a 2er before. Maybe they have some photo's or someone willing to photoshop a stock set in black.

See if lightwerkz has done a set. They are local to us as well. Probably better priced. I remember Caesar having better prices in my E46 days. I had mine blacked out by them back in the day.

I was thinking of blacking mine out. Keep me updated.

You will be dealing with humidity and condensation problems if the job isn't 100% perfect... With headlights running 1500$ on each side, this is something I wouldn't try on an M car...

Well, I've gotten OSS headlights before and there have been no issues even years later.

Modified headlights come warrantied for a year or more depending on the shop you choose.

Brand new headlights from BMWpartspros are $1700 for the pair (if you have adaptive xenons):

And you can also find them used on ebay and modify those and keep your stock set unmodified if you really want to.
