Same here. When it was a 2017 it showed up on the website but not as an 18. The automated phone number shows it in the system though.

Just found out that my vehicle entered production yesterday, that's going to be one of the first MY18's off the line I would think.

If it's in production now, it'll be a MY2017.

it's a MY18 according to- my Vehicle Inquiry Report, the BMW Genius I spoke with, and my CA, and it's spec'd as such.

originally it was a week 25 MY17 and the Genius even mentioned that they flipped it to an 18.

There's a production schedule here says it starts next month but maybe they started early. A a guess, it could be lack of demand for pre-lci.

The July 17 SOP date is out the window. My 2018 is Week 27, which is 2 weeks before that. Somewhere there's a document saying that the 30 last 2017 models were switched to 2018 models.

Mine hasn't been working but I haven't tried it yet today. I figured I'd give it a week or two. I kind of wonder if it won't go "live" on the website until it actually hits 112 status.

I tried the automated number and it says "scheduled for production with no confirmed production date," which makes sense if you consider how far out week 37 is and how there might be delays or speedups.

I find it odd that 2018 production started as early as it did, people have been talking about how the mid-July shutdown is when they retool everything for the next MY... but maybe since the LCI is so minor, it's more of a matter of just swapping out the parts and they're ready to go, so they don't need to use the mid-July window for it?

I wonder if they retooled during the steering gear shortage. Not sure if they even shut down at that time or what but if they did it would be an efficient way to do the change over rather than shut down in July.

Received a production number. Called BMW Genius and was told production scheduled for mid September (week 37). Should arrive at my dealer by late November; just in time for my 60th birthday!

Later added:
My sales guy just told me that my car is a "priority 1" build and would get moved up. Not sure what all that means.

Well, supposedly the July shutdown happens regardless. In Europe, people love to take big fuck-off 1-2 week holidays in the middle of summer, that's A Thing there. From what I had read in a few places, mid-July is basically the time when everyone pisses off and goes on vacation, with a skeleton group staying on that works to do the plant updates/changes.

I read it on the internet though, so take it with the appropriate amount of salt. It makes sense based on things I've heard about European holidays from other people though.

As someone who has a difficult time using 2 weeks of vacation, let alone the 3 or 4 I'm supposed to have now, this whole concept is foreign to me...

It's never too late to improve your vacation usage skills - I have 5 weeks and it's "use or lose" so I worked hard to get better at it. A two-week ED trip is a great way to burn a couple weeks of it!
