I got my 2018 Allocation today. The dealer got it about 6 pm Eastern time. I got my production number. Pricing is all 2018 pricing. The list under the description is all 2018 description like LED headlights etc. I am so excited.

From what I saw from another CA on here, 047 = "in order bank, waiting for approval / allocation"

basically, your desired car has been "ordered" per your configuration, but until your dealership actually receives an allocation, that "order" just sits there collecting dust for who knows how long.

Check out the sticky post at the top of this forum for more details on the status codes - 47 isn't in there for some reason, but what you want to see is the order going to "111"

Yeah, I'm near Cleveland OH and am dealing with Classic BMW in Willoughby here. They are pretty low volume so I'm kind of surprised they're getting one... but my chances of receiving the allocation was certainly increased by being #1 on their list.

I had a deposit down at "Cleveland BMW" (in Solon), but I am supposedly 4th or 5th on their M2 list, and my original CA that I put the deposit down with has left... a new CA contacted me a few days ago but it seems like the guy doesn't do too well with english (the e-mail was kind of wanting for grammar and spelling).

Very happy I put down a deposit at both places now... I'm going in to Classic tomorrow afternoon to configure / order. Irony is that I actually put in the deposit at Classic almost a month after my deposit in Solon.

BTW, anyone who had a 2017 order confirmed by BMW and had their car pushed to 2018, I believe BMW will price protect you. Spa2k ?

Confirm with your dealer, but I thought mine mentioned that to me. And how cool is that to get it at the old price (wait, I know metallic paint went DOWN in price - but the overall car went up right?).

Nope. You'll pay MY18 pricing unless you have an ironclad contract with a firm price.

How did you find the build date? I have my production number and the Vehicle Inquiry Report, was this something the Genius number could tell you?

My dealership thought the build date was either August or September but didn't seem 100% sure yet.

Called Genius, they told me Week 37, which is mid-September.

My CA had the date when he called. I believe when the allocations are given by BMW they are assigned a build date. From what I have heard all allocations have a date.

Well, I went to the dealership and they printed out the Vehicle Inquiry Report sheet, and even that didn't show a date. It is status 111 and I have a number though. Had to call Genius to get the precise week.
