Looking at the same time frame: arrive in Munich 10/1 and hope to have the car by 10/7. Will order it Friday! I did ED in 2009 for my MY2010 135i which I've enjoyed immensely for about 118,000 miles. Will be in Europe 10/1-10/23.

Mine is also "use or lose," but every time I take vacation I come back to 3x more work than I left. This is because my company sucks at hiring additional people in my department... I'm effectively "indispensable" which is both good and awful simultaneously.

I won't do ED without my wife, and I had a hard enough time convincing her to come down to The Dragon with me last fall for a slightly extended weekend. We have a somewhat... "needy" dog (Shiba Inus are weird) plus two cats at home and she has a hard time leaving them in someone else's care.

Still considering PCD, but since I'll probably be trading in a car even that will be complicated.

Let us know what delivery date you end up with. I'm planning to be over there 10/3 to 10/13.

I can understand that - been there a few times. I love the Dragon - did it in my Miata four years ago. Also love Shiba Inus.

Anyone get a 2018 allocation in the Northwest US region (Washington specifically)? I'm anxiously waiting on a call from my dealer but it seems that I may be in the next batch of builds.

If yours is in production now you must have a VIN number already. What's the last 7 digit? you could check it with https://www.bmwvin.com/ to see it's indeed an MY18's.

I am in the same boat only in Oregon; next on the list at my dealer. I heard a few dealerships in the region got some, but not many. I fear I may have to wait for the next batch as well.

Also have received my production number, status 111. And also found that, while bmwusa dosnt recognize the number, the online automated number reports the order is in the system identified by the prod. number, so at least there's that to hang my hat on.. I guess next comes status 112 with a bonafide production scheduling date, followed by 150, which would be actually in production.. I really have no idea when to expect delivery, but Im guessing sometime oct-dec... oh boy, just in time to deal with winter wheel setups, etc. so be it. I recieved my 135i in November.. Seems I get winter luck... I aint cryin'... Cant wait, really.

What dealership did you go to in Maryland? I'm 4th on the waiting list in Catonsville.

None, actually - was on a waitlist at a CA dealer who expected but didn't get an allocation, so I jumped on an available one in TX that was posted on here, and fortunately was willing to do ED for ED MSRP so I could make my desired Oct ED timeframe.

I've been reading up on ordering process for an M2 since this car was announced. I've read horror stories, and still reading horror stories of dealer mark ups of $5k+ or over a year of waiting time.

I'll be ready to buy one next summer so I thought why not start putting my name on the list now and wait a year? So I just called one dealership and they have an open allocation for a MY 2018 for July production for MSRP that is not spoken for yet. As a matter of fact this open spot has been available for the last 2 weeks. They said I should receive the car by October this year once I put the order in soon, again, at MSRP.

I honestly didn't know it was this easy to get an allocation. Not sure what the fuss is about with countless threads about markups and wait times.

If I don't proceed with this spot I'll pass the information to first person who PMs me. Only thing I'll ask is a ride in the passenger seat once you get your M2 in October.

I'm definitely getting one but not sure if I can pull it this soon...

You just got lucky. Make sure they don't ask for bs fees from you like 700 dealer fee or 600 tag fee. They all say Msrp and no other fees in the beginning but once they send you the paperwork they don't keep their word.

Just ordered it. Week 37. No BS fees. MSRP. No bs accessories.

Basically I started looking today, got allocation for delivery date mid October.

2018 Allocation Received

Responded to post from bimmr4life24 on 6/23 that his CA had an allocation.

Midwest CA said he is in top 8 for sales of M cars in US so BMW gave him 3 2018 slots. Two were taken and he offered me one "already in the pipeline" (Week 38 build). Told him I was just getting ready to send out 100 e-mails to dealers looking for an allocation. My build is MG, DCT, Exec plus Apple Carplay. He had my build but with 8K in Mperf accessories. I said I will take it for MSRP if he could delete all the accessories and add Apple Carplay. Status is still 111 so the changes should be good. I am not local to him but doing PCD anyway. Waiting to confirm changes were accepted to get build number.
