How's the installation process for just installing the trim on the standard wheel? Do you need to completely remove the wheel?

Nah, more or less:

- Disconnect Negative Terminal on Battery

- Pull two tabs on steering wheel base

- Disconnect Airbag

- Some screws or bolt to remove

- Install trim

There's a few guides with pictures on the f80 and f30 forum's

Simple and fast install. No need to take off the steering wheel. Follow LOPM2's instructions.
