Any way to disable the Door Projectors?
Not a fan (especially the obnoxious M Performance 1/150 logo)...they need to go and I may just put a piece of tape over them. Is there a software (coding) way to disable them? Or can I just pull them out of the door?
Thanks |

Buy the standard OEM light projectors and replace them, should be plug and play Think that it might be something similar to part #5 on the realoem diagram code (63316972605) but I can't confirm, research is on you |

Dude, it's like changing a lamp.. for the E-series you only needed a pry tool or a Flathead screwdriver to do it |

yeah? Okay...assuming there aren't any write-ups on how to install the projectors (so I can do the reverse)? And can you just take out the stupid translucent logo so its just a light on the ground?

Hardest part is removing the light by using a small flat head screw driver. I had my M projector lights port installed and the M logo wasn't perfectly straight. Took me a few attempts to get it just right. Even the lights were put on the wrong side because the lens is suppose to be closer to middle of car. Looking back I could of saved money and did it myself but since I'm not really a hands on type of guy and wanted it "professionally" installed I was willing to pay a premium. Disappointing to experience a poor installation job by the port installers.

My car has the stock white lamps as well, it should be in the box with the different projector lenses. You can just swap that in, so you don't have to run a projector lens on the light.

So, you can't disable it...you can remove it, paint it black, put in factory ones? |

The projector also does get pretty hot so watch out when you are taking them out if the car is on (or radio-ready) |

Sell them and swap with whom ever buys them from you for the stock ones.

I'd bring that to BMW's attention, ask them to make it right!
